That's fine, I'd be agreeing with you if it was an indy company or SOE, EA, Funcom, but NCsoft has a great track record. So I felt safe in my purchase, I felt they could deliver like they always have. No we haven't been deceived or even scammed, but screwed on the time we have purchased. But as I've been saying the ones who planned to play today cause it was their free time or took off work to dive a little into a fantasy, unless they went to a west coast server that had a small queue never will get in today or gave up trying.
At any rate I gave up long ago, won't have time tomorrow so there was no reason to pre-order except for the shitty items that I didn't want any way. You win some you loose some but you can't help but bitch when you get screwed, that's why we have court cases and that's why their is returns in retail. When a product doesn't work as expected you shouldn't have to put up with, but in this digital world where almost anything goes, there is no hope at least yet for that.

Just currious if these are some of the same people who decried the CO launch as the worst ever... just saying, you can really only have one worst ever launch. Or perhaps realize that MMO launches are bound to be piles of steaming dung. That's pre-order, or launch. Each day that an additional mass of bodies are going to hit the server
I'm not going to play Aion, not my cup of tea, and I feel sorry for anyone who can't get in.
However, serriously, EVERY mmo launch has been like this and expecting this to be any different is like wishing the sky was green. These threads have been on every game I have played, and likely will still be there on any game I intend to play. Good luck to all fo you, I wish there is a lot less pain involved in the future.
I suggest you stop taking one server into perspective and look at them all. Most east coast servers are still at the 5hr wait time to get in. It's bullshit. It's even more bullshit for someone to have to change to a different server that is less populated when the during pre-select they choose their server. Many people have large guilds that play on one server. Maybe you guys aren't the social type or something but there is more than just playing by yourself.
People need to calm down. Having servers be full on launch day (and head starts) is normal. Just be glad that servers aren't crashing.

Launch day yes, Head Start No. And yes many servers have gone done or the course of this day. When I got in for the little time I could till crash/queue it did play smooth no lag. The problem they have is population not lag. It's crashing cause they are allowing too many into one server, this would have been fixed by adding more. I know damn well they knew they would be sort, but just decided to say fuck it and let the customers deal with it.

Ok, what server, what side? You seem extremely vocal on telling everyone they MUST have the same issue as you do. Perhaps they don't. I had ZERO queue, every time I logged in. Elyos Kaisinel - you?? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say 95% of everyone bitching is on the same side, and 2-3 servers.

If I've been extremely vocal you could at least read the damn posts. I said there was a select few that had little to no queue but why should anyone who has set their server in pre-select need to move, specially when they are on that server for the guild. The server is Zikel try it, i bet around 2-3hrs queue up.
I just gave up and went full steam ahead on w/e server it allowed me to play on. Wonder what acutal launch is going to be like.

Cant believe my preferd server, back up server, and back ups back up server were all completely locked all day.
At least i got the terribly boring 1-10 campaign quest out of the way, did them way too much looking for good servers in beta. And i got my character to look like an evil fat infant, havent been able to really get it right on any of the other servers i was able to get on.
Will be interesting to see the breakdown of the servers after a full work day.

Right now the queues are (11:09EST):
Zikel, 600+
Triniel, 1900+
Israphel, 200+
Lumiel, 1100+
Azphel, 1400+
Maruathen, 300+
I just checked the East servers. I know some of the West servers do not have queues.
Ok so it appears mostly East Coast servers having the problem, I can understand that. Most of the East Coast had extremely high population and Asmodian lockout during Preselection, thats why I switched to a West coast one during OBT. All your testing done on Asmodian or Elyos?

I think a big part of the issue for a lot of people is how the pre-order and head start were packaged and sold to customers. For pre-order customers, the actual live start day is today, not box day.
The other issue is that NCsoft has been conspicuously absent in just about any manner since they brought their servers live this afternoon. No posts, no announcements, no nothing - just some stuff saying the release was flawless and a couple of tweets, and that's it. They disappeared after that.
At this point, I think regardless of whether people are being reasonable about the queue times and their frustrations or not, that does appear to be the general perception about the game - that it's sloppy, NCsoft didn't prepare properly, and they don't have the capacity to handle their userbase. What the actual facts are may be irrelavent.

Yeah I hear alot of people being punted, long que's etc. all day not just for a hour or 2 all day.
All I have to say is on pre-order "additional 7 days of game time " not credited, "exclusive ingame items" not credited. Sadly it is launch day for PREORDERS....hate to see 22/25th So what was the point to preorder the game I ask what was the gain to them 300k? few got to play I got to lvl 10 or so some legions formed and a sloppy show by NCsoft
Sadly I will not wait in a que or wait for said items on a later date I simply do not feel a need ot wait 8+ hours to play a game I pre-ordered. Question is how will they make this up to all them who had to deal with this ?
Im sure im one of the few, but I've have had no issues logging onto the game. I did log on right at 3:00 and didn't log out till just now. So logging in tomorrow might pose some issues but like I said, today I had no issues logging in and have not experienced any lag at all while playing the game.

That sir is because the login servers crashed, anyone who keep playing if they made it through the lagspike could play all day. Anyone who logged out or tried to login got a que a mile long.
