DISCLAIMER: During the course of the discussion, I've changed my mind, and agreed with a lot of arguments. I have no problem with soloers now, only with games and lackluster communities. Can we move on now? Please?

How more blatant can I get?

After a thread has reached a few pages, people who follow it will not reread the OP but instead read any new comments on the last page and respond to those.  The OP starts the discussion but usually the discussion will be about the general topic and not the specific content of the OP.

ie.  people really do not care that the OP changed his mind at this point

Same here. I defend solo play so much not because im a die-hard soloer, and solo 100% of the time. Its just unfair to see people complain that soloers ruin this, soloers ruin that, they stole my game and so forth. I solo most of the time, not all the time.

If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.

It's really just one of those timeless forever ongoing useless arguments we gamers refuse to let die for some morbid reason.

    PvP vs PvM.

    P2P vs F2P.

    "Sandbox" vs "Themepark".

One server world vs instanced world.

    Solo vs grouping.

    WASD vs point-and-click.

    My game vs your game.

Of course, without these petty and useless arguments, most forums would be ghost towns.
