Who knows. In the video it looked like they were just trying to get away from the kraken. They should have turned the boat broadside to the monster and had everyone manning cannons. Looks like you will need a fleet of ships to take that thing down though.

Not every boss needs to have a "OMG COOL STRATEGY" to it.

That is just awesome, it doesn't need to be some complex WoW fight where you don't really know what to do, but watched a video of what to do.
I generally dislike DFO and still find this awesome.

This is not a wow raid. Just a boss in a world free to go where ever he want. Also, in wow, each boss got a patern depend on their hp pourcentage left. Well, that kraken seem to have no patern. He do what ever he want. Dont ever expect wow type of pve introduced in DF.
noone said its not big - but if that is AWESOME OMFG - I think we can expect WoW, AoC, War and others bring other awesome big fucking creatures with which fight is utterly boring. The thing is that such thing might be okish for a player at first sight but than it is bye bye excitement ...

First, there are no tanks in Darkfall. The "holy-trinity" of tank/healer/DPS does not exist in Darkfall. Darkfall is not that game.
Secondly, aiming is first-person and tactics/strategy is in movement, not making sure you aren't standing in fire on the floor, DPS'ing the adds, killing the chains, running to the back if you are "the bomb" or any of the other things that WoW has contributed to the current definition of raid boss.
