You did come with 'true' numbers. What your source for 50k Darkfall subs is then?
There was a post few weeks back that showed the numbers of players month by month of EU and NA servers, the total was 45K and the trend was showing a growing pattern.

That's simple, everything which is not a themepark, this site seems allergic to anything that doesn't follow the WoW pattern (but then they cry for the lack of innovation in the MMORPG industry..............go and figure)
It doesn't have to be something similar to DF, in fact if you care reading properly my posts, I explained at least 5 times my point wasn't to defend Darkfall, personally I don't think it is perfect by any means, on the contrary I believe there is a lot of catching up with EvE, yet is better than AoC, WAR, CO, STO and Aion who scored much better than DF.
My argument was more generic and was about "alternative" MMOs vs "Mainstream" MMOs scoring.
Fallen Earth was another of those alternative games who had a lower score due to its "alternative" (or niche) badge.
I believe MMORPG.com had to re-review it due to obvious bias of the first reviewer.
Media needs to acknowledge that the definition MMORPGs is now too restrictive, we have FPS MMOS like Planetside and Global Agenda (we are going to see many more of this in the future), we have sandboxes PvE games like Fallen Earth, Sandboxes PvP like DF and EvE, we will have the MMORTS shortly and of course we have the themepark MMORPGs.
The media needs to start acknowledge the MMORPG industry is evolving and the reviews have to reflect those changes.

I would like to add that a more balanced score between sub-genres, will definetly benefit the whole industry.
If we want more innovation and diversity, we need to start scoring the MMOs more objectively thinking about the sub-market (or niche) they are aimed for, otherwise the media, with the current approach, will kill the progress of this industry because we will have only WoW clones, and that's not good.

If yes, do so. If not, stop talking about it.
2) So you are not able do define a category for DF and yet you demand a reviewer favouring this 'undefined' category?

Your opinion was noticed. To actualy change something, prove or make a point, you need more than that.
Saying 'we' means some group of people who is not satisfied by MMO market. Since vast majority of players are happy to play and spent money on games you do not like, you are the minority here thus telling people what they should do without any arguments but your own believes and feelings is a bit silly.

There is no need to say: "Darkfall is a 6". Someone who wants to know about the game will (or should really) read the review and base his opinion about what he read. Not that "6" thats up there somewhere.
Likewise "Alganon is a 5.8" is also rediculous. People can read the text of the review instead and decide for themselves that it is utter garbage. They don't need a 5.8 somewhere high up to tell them that.
Why write so much text in a good written review (this Alganon review is actually good written) if you think you can also satisfy people by giving a single (inflated in this case) number?
First reviews these days are nothing but biased crap written by reviewers who are eather payed by big companys or just try write bad review of a game they dont like(eurogamer trash) secondly most reviewers dont even play the games they review, unless you say 1hour play a new mmo is enough?
Darkfall stand on its own we dont need others to judge on our game its one of few hardcore sandbox free for all with full loot pvp mmo's out there that eventually attrack those who like such games.
We all know now that Darkfall have improved alot and is rather polished.
Alagon is a themepark game and copy from another terible game called WoW so who cares if they have almost same rating i dont.
I believe in Darkfall and you should also do same.
