Don't worry too much about MMORPG. They have 4 guys who spend hours a day trying to stir up negativity in the Mortal Online section making sensationalist threads and basically replying to each other. The rest of the posts mainly consist of day old MMORPG accounts used to troll. Unless you have a lot of free time on your hands its just not worth it.

I think the last poster on MO forums hit the nail on the head, WHAT wasnt made clear by the OP was it was just a forum member posting not anyone from SV, the replies all basicly say dont bother aint worth it, so pointless post TBH.

Edit:  if the above guy was truly an MMORPG member at one time, he should know that most posters here aren't haters but more along the lines of objective skeptics... okay maybe a little cynical too, but that's okay I think.

No, but check out this bug.  I reported this back in July (made a frew threads in their support section since then) and their forum is still bugged.  Seems they have 2 different versions of their forums, one current one and one from back in the February 2009.  They can't even get that fixed and its been there for over a year...

I am sick and tired of all the hostility and rivalry between supporters and haters. It has got to stop. It is not worth it to sit here slouched over and watching a screen with eyes glazed over while waiting to pounce on the most redundant shit in the history of gaming.

I don't know what's worse anymore. FPS or MMO gamers... I used to have faith in humanity, then lost that. I used to have faith in gamers but I've long since lost that as well. What does anyone get out of the fighting? Are they being paid to be assholes? Is there some secret reward for being the biggest douchebag on the internet? If so, I fail to see any of these benefits. Hell, if someone would like to tell me how I can get paid and rewarded for being a complete dick I will do it...

This is why I am nearly through with the MMO community as a whole. People are far too serious about these sorts of things. Veterans vs. noobs. Elitists vs. casual players. Power gamers vs. Roleplayers. It's so fucking disgusting. Have you people even got a clue?

I'm actually quite neutral in this whole war of gamers thing. I am just sick of people being too stupid to realize games are meant to be fun. Of course you get games like DF and MO which basically allow FPS gamers (notorious for hating their fellow man and being one death away from going postal on humanity IRL) to let their inner psychopath out. 12-16 year old boys with a sudden onslaught of testosterone and a whole lot of attitude. Seems like these kids think they have something to prove.

What in the fuck can they prove on the interwebs?

Well just to try and be the voice of reason, most of the post in this thread weren't overly hateful... if anything they seem pretty level-headed, and perhaps sometimes flippant, they are mostly to the point.  While I understand your rant and frustration, if you read through all the posts in this thread alone, you'll see that there is a point to all this.  It's not necessarily "us" vs. "them", but more like we are being critical about issues w/ Starvault's quality assurance in regards to MO.  Let's face it, theres be plenty of legitimate issues people have posted, over and over, but that's because they want this game to succeed, rather than watching yet another of many indie MMO's fade away into obscurity and mediocrity.

 

When I first saw screenshots of this game, back before Darkfall was even released, I have to admit I have had my hopes up since then.  But with all the issuse that arrose, can you really blame people for getting a little bit mad at Starvault.  You have to admit quite a few things have gone wrong.

Personally I'd like to see this game succeed, but seeing the events leading up to present in regards to their title, please forgive those players who have become a little bit cynical and jaded thereof.  It's really not us vs. them, it's just we want a good MMO pvp game to be released... is it too much to ask for quality these days?

Holy smokes, I didn't know mmorpg.com posters were so hating on this game? Meh, all games that come out have issues here and there, that's to be expected... still I'm surprised at their feverish hatred of Starvault.
