You can tell the people that have limited mmorpg experience because they automatically assume that having 3 factions (WvWvW) will be similar to daoc's 3 faction RvR.
Yes the #3 is there, yes they will be competing against each other, no the gameplay mechanics are not the same.

Of course there not exactly the same. You don't have to explain that. We understand that one MMO with SOME similar features of another will still be a a different mmo altogether.
For the people that have felt like having a 3 faction RvR was one of the missing components in every mmo with pvp, this is a HUGE step in the right direction.
The only thing that worries me about there system, is if people are allowed to switch servers at will....which I hear is possible and will break many advantages of a RvR System.
Why is this bad? Well, if you know (and maybe you do) anything about DAOC and RvR, one of the reasons it worked was because it created opportunities for balance, and for the underdogs to be victors.
If one Realm on a server was overpopulated, as ALB often was, the other two sides (Hib and Mid) would join up for temporary alliances of opportunity to take out ALB. What happens after that is accomplished is fun too
Or if two of the three realms were overpopulated, the smaller realm would run smaller, tighter groups and pick off the victor.
I am not blind to the fact that there are not Realms in GW2 but rather whole servers going head to head. The same opportunities can arise.

And you do it justice with one of the dumbest replies I have seen on this site.
I never wanted to succumb to the epic hype of gw2, but seeing as they dropped the daoc bomb at their interview I don't think I'll be able to resist
I expect this to be like a better Guild Wars personally.
Guess that just makes too much sense.
