Am I the only one who is bothered by this?

The had those awful demeaning milk jokes on the Tauren females. I used to see a lot of female undead who looked awesome with those turban like hats and robes. Troll females with that killer accent. I was not used to seeing many Tauren females. Most played male taurens. I had one and used to keep an eye out for others and hardly ever came across any. I find it hard to believe you only came across tauren females.

Then to say things like the blood elf females you came across acted like whores seems to suggest you have a very judgemental point of view based on the models people choose to play. That is almost as bad as your complaint that men objectify women in your point of view. Your prejudices are not exactly subtle either.

Only important thing in a game for me is the game play and everything else is secondary.

In WoW, most female gamers I met were Tauren race (I only ever played on Horde). The female Blood Elves I met were usually acting like whores, but it's fine because women that didn't want to be whores could be Taurens.

Because all women who roll blood elfs have to be whores

But hey, if you rolled a tauren, I'd definitely thought you were a big, fat, ugly person irl...always with your view on things.

For all the die hard christian-like tools here ... they seem to be adding a new undergarment slot to the equipment options. This will most likely be something you can slap under your armor so your pretty little virgin eyes dont have to look at that sinful cleavage or belly buttons of your character.

No official word yet on what exactly that slot item is from but its a good chance thats its purpose. Happy? The devs decided to create useless gear to cover up that evil whore elfs boobies instead of focusing their time on something better like helmets, shoulders, or even a cape.

Target audience? Women are a growing part of that audience.

The ''whore'' descriptive is purely objective. It's a female human who sells her body. I have to agree, tho, that players do not get paid to play these characters though...

Growing yes, but still a minority, especially in many of these types of games. I disagree with your definition. It is neither objective, nor can it be applied in this generalized fashion. "Degraded" is another value judgement, and as such is also subjective. As I stated, it might be best if you give this game a pass if its graphics offend you. Given how effective it is, and its LONG history, I doubt that the practice of using sex appeal to sell various things to males is going to end any time soon.

I don't know about you but this old lady's heart went pitter patter when she saw Christiano Ronaldo in that Armani ad. Was I objectifying ?
