    Bonus Mission Pack

    PvP Access Kit

    Game of the Year Upgrade

    2008 Upgrade

Halloween Costume Pack - An assortment of single costumes. This shows that they will likely have seasonal things in GW2 cash shop.

    Extra Storage

    Extra Character slots

    Makeover Pack

    Extreme Makeover

    Character Name Change

    Pet Unlock Pack

    PvP item unlock pack

    Various skill unlock packs

When I started (4 years ago in a few weeks) they only had the PvP skill unlock pack.

But I don't see any of this as a problem. I don't actually see XP pots as a problem either, you can as well get help to powerlevel by your max level friends, that will speed up things a lot more than a pot. And if someone levels fast it does not affect game balance, the same guy getting really good gear without working for it however does just that.

Fluff is fluff. Name changes are not something that should be taken lightly but it is not a gamebreaker. Extra storages and more character slots are nice to have but it is ok that you have to pay for it.

And adventure packs is just like a payed mini expansions, EQ2 did the same a few years ago.

I don't have any problem with this. Selling items with stats or lose dungeons however is not good. And a single dungeon is no mini expansion BTW.

I was just, um, trying to clear it up. People kept saying things about the shop in a very vague way. Now there is an example of perfect information available through a link and a glance. :P

My personal opinion is that GW2 is going to expand upon this list somewhat. To what extent remains to be seen.

Do you mean B&MT2P?  (Buy & Micro-Transaction to Play)

He means  B2P and MTWB (Buy-To-Play, Microtransaction-When-Bored).... Oh, I forgot, for you it means that getting fluff and extra dungeons and such must be free!

Reminds me, doesn't WoW and any other P2P game makes you PEM2P (Pay-Each-Month-To-Play) + MTFF (MicroTransaction-For-Fluff)? Oh... I forgot... those force you to BE2CP (Buy-Expansion-To-Continue-Playing) don't they? Extra raids and fluff isn't free in those?

So, ANY other mmorpg out there isn't good enough for you, am I wrong?

Extra dungeons? Yes, unless it's on an expansion pack. That's what B2P stands for.

Buying an expansion pack or buying DLCs isn't the same thing? You are buying for something more when you are bored and get more stuff. I'm not in favour of Cash Shops because of giving the credit card number and all that, but except for that reason buying in Cash shop or buying expansion pack is the same thing isn't it?

But we can't rush about the info of extra dungeons in cash-shop beeing true, because it's not. Probably they will let the player fanbase tell them what is better for micro-transactions in the future, as they always did.

BTW, B2P stands for (and only for) buying the game to play. It doesn't stand for "forcefully buying the game + expansions + micro-transactions" to play. While a lot of P2P, like WoW, force players to "buy the game + pay each month + buy expansions" to play.

So basically, this is turning into a free-to-play game that you have to pay for up front?

DLC is significantly less content than an expansion but I am not to say where we draw the line.

It depends on your meaning of free-to-play!

Normal F2P mmorpgs you have the game for free but they sell so many things in the cash-shop that makes the players have advantages by using the cash-shop items, whether fighting in PVP or leveling speed in PVE.

But If you follow A.net philosophy and see what they did with the same philosophy in GW1, you should know better that their game probably becomes free after you pay up front. There won't be advantageous items in the cash shop. If later you feel bored with the game (wich I doubt, unless you only find the personal-story interesting) you can buy expansions each 6-months/1-year.

BTW, don't forget that for you to get bored in the dungeons already implemented in GW2 is really hard, since the dungeons won't be always the same like other games do. Each dungeon will change itself. Getting more dungeons would be only for the sake of more armour and weapons, although their stats won't be much different from the normal ones.
