It has to be World of Warcraft, doesn't it.  To have completely overhauled the entire 1-60 experience as well as add new races, zones, instances, talents and profession was an incredible feat.

I almost had to give a little chuckle to myself.  How can the MMO which absolutely knocks all other competition out of the water be the most improved - they have set their own benchmark even higher.  It goes to show that this ludicrus notion of competiting with WoW and a WoW killer is now obsolete; MMOs need to become more original or go the way of all the previous supposed 'WoW Killers'.

    None.

Another thread designed to "push" games where none of my real life friends play anymore. Games did not improve "enough" to deserve anything in 2010. It was more of the same thing released over and over again. Sorry, but changing parts of WoW to "make things feel different" doesn't change that outside of cosmetics, that under the hood WoW is a game from 2004.

The same is true to other games...Expand a game to add more areas to explore and change things...along with a lot of items added, but not change any fundamentals means "Its not an improvement." since the core is the same.

The best thing to have happened this year in gaming overall is that steam reached a deal to bundle packs together (that some did include MMORPGs) so for around $110 - $120 I got 60 - 70 games. Some of them MMOs with a free month to them. All the Downloadable Content Associated with those games and enough gaming to last for a year.

So many games I've played this game to test/demo and found myself disappointed in many.

It seems some of you are waiting for something. For the great deal? For the biggest and best game ever done? This only a personal point of view, but there won't be something like that. The basics of a game can't be changed so easy and even if this would happen ... the game is then complete changed and another one! There are games worth to be called "improved". Everything else is even the personal view! Hope you had good christmas, folks.

The amazing thing is that some of them have already purchased race changes and such, even though they are currently unable to play.

"A couple of your friends" are barely able to play while millions are doing just fine. Yep, definitely Blizzard's network code!

Still, I am surprised to see WoW on there. "Most improved" should be games that were floundering before.

City of Heroes gets my vote.   I only give another chance to a MMO that was actually fun in the beginning.  Like EQ1, EQ2, DAoC, CoH, LoTRo.   I take breaks from MMOs, because I go to try other games.  But if a game is fun from the start I usually go back to it

Now Aion was fun but the gankfest and crazy grinding off pixel bunnies all day got really old fast.   Having a really high level over-powered player surprise gank you while you are low on Health fighting a mob is not my idea of fun.   Not that it would make a difference as he would 1 or 2 shotted me to death anyway.

Between the 2 epic fails of Aion and FFXIV, I will never pay for another Eastern-based MMO.  Thier Devs need to evolve instead of rehashing old MMO ideas and making it even worse.  Also Age of Conan was not a great experience for me in the beginning.  Just because it was not polished and the gfx lag was insane.  Had to either pay 1000+ for a new rig and card or play with crappy gfx.  Either way it was not worth it so I got cancelled and I dont care how improved it gets, it will not get my money ever again.

My advice to these Devs MMO companies is to have a well good polished game from the start.  I don't EVER want to pay for a MMO that should still be in beta.  Cough, FFXIV, cough.  What a waste of 60 bucks.  Wish I could get my money back.

Well its to bad there was not a none of the above on this.  None of the games that were there deserved to be on the list.
