As i said 4D is time.

GW2 could implement 4D in the way that everything changes/decays over time. It would be extremely hard as you have to create a world that can totally change (like the Earth has).

4D is time in physics.  4D is a spatial dimension in mathematics.

When you talk about a 4D shape, you're not talking about a normal 3D shape that has a time value, you're talking about something like a hypercube.

lol this thread is awesome for 3 reasons.  1. it made me laugh at work hung over from st pattys day, which is not easy to do.  2. some people actually took it seriously.  3.  4d gaming and the combat uses stupid swords and magic and stuff...lolz

A-Net fails in that I cannot build a giant spaceship that is the size of a small continent and go off exploring the expanded Guild Wars universe, blasting aliens to bits and creating my own civilization in a faraway planet. A-Net has greatly disappointed me.

Guild Wars2 isn't doing anything REVOLUTIONARY at all. Dynamic Events are just a bunch of 0's and 1's strung together. Hell their game is a bunch of 1's and 0's strung together.

That is SO like other MMOs...

Especially you, Meowhead, disappoint me with this.

This is the negaverse/bizarro world thread.  In this thread, you have to protect the chastity and virtue of Guild Wars 2, while we complain about all the ways it fails. :)

So you are implying that in any other thread I am the negative / bizarro nancy ...

    I want to play GW2 in a holosuit :(

So let me get this straight. In physics time is referred to as the 4th dimension, but in mathematics the 4th dimension is spatial because nobody really has time for complex mathematics.

This brings about a few interesting thoughts. First off, a side scroller game is really 3d because it utilizes 3 separate dimensions. Vertical, horizontal and time.

Secondly, my 6th grade math teacher had no right to time how long it took to do her tests because we hadn't reached that level of advanced mathematics yet. Bitch

Thirdly, if time travel was possible I would go back in time and say that it brought about a couple thoughts cause I really don't have a third point to mention.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

I might get in trouble for sharing all this. But I don't want this wild false information to persist - I'm in closed beta and I want to clear some things up.

They are supporting game pads, mouse and keyboard, and new Arenanet cybernetic Direct-to-brainTM implants.

I have tested the direct to brain implant and there are a few issues.

    1. While you will be initially impressed with the ability to control your avatar with mind control alone, it is very easy to be distracted by those silly limbs (arms and legs) that no longer serve any important purpose.

    2. Plugging and unpluggin yourself from the interface is painful, expecially if you run Vista.

    3. Some people, not me thankfully, have found the Direct-to-brain connection has side effects including a) actually peeing yourself when you see a tough boss mob, b) in rare cases actually killing you in RL

The direct-to-brain interface allows you to see the game inside your eyes. A lot of work to be done on it though. Some graphics drivers have made some users actually see AA, particle effects, etc. in RL.

Also I already play on a custom built circular screen which I'm sure gw2 will take full advantage of like no game has before.
I lol at you thinking its going to use the internet, most likely they will have built their own engine for that part of the game, utilising some new technology they developed.

Arenanet made some big mistakes with the last patch regarding this stuff. I think they actually did internal testing only with guys that live in parents' basements. The amount of force calculated for knockbacks needed to send you through basement walls was WAY too high for people that live in places like apartments.

This really caught me off guard and made me lol.

The rest of the thread gave me a headache (4D..spatial time....oh my....), although the catching on fire made me chuckle :)

I don't think so. Smell is a sense, not a dimension.

    And GW2 innovation = fail

GW2 is still an MMORPG, where's the innovation in that?

They should've made it an MMMORPU (mega massively multiplayer online roleplaying universe), the slackers.

i heard from a trusted source that GW2 will have the latest generation of combat using a camera device to interact with other ppl and ingame environment.... who ever walks in front of your camera shows as a toon in game so for PVP u actually have to punch the person to actually hit the toon in game... otherwise ur toon misses...  im really looking forward to that.... tahts revolutionary

Believe me guys you can play ultra advanced games where everything feels great and so interesting! When you buy GW2 just take 1 LSD pill and play the game, you'll be amazed!!!! (Btw don't, drugs are bad...very bad, apart from Marijuana, no idea why that's illegal in loads of countries and please don't quote me and say why and make this thread all political lol, lets keep this thread fun :D)

Well, because kids would get the wrong idea of course!

Completely slaughtering people is okay though.

I assume you haven't played Gothic games. :)

yeah its like the government work along with devs to influence kids to kill other students in school (like its been happening for years now) so they can get them to jail and get paid for that..... but they dont want them to smoke cos its bad for their health

Anet's biggest fail is the payment scheme for GW2. I'm still not getting paid for playing their game. Innovative game, my @ss!

I want to make an MMO that uses your scroll lock, num lock, and caps lock lights on your keyboard as the primary form of interaction.  You have to guess what other players are doing and defend yourself from numlock eaters while keeping your scroll lock lit up.  The only form of communication allowed will be through morse code of the caps lock light.

This just leaked.  GW2 will ship with a perma death option for those who like hardcore gaming.  Included in the box is a small, gun shaped controller that sync's with your computer.  Just go to there website and fill out the "your life's will goes to Aren....." form, then hold the small controller to your head when gaming, the next time you die it will provide you with perma death, how perfect :)
