Man the demo was good. Didnt really see what made the power tech class stand apart from the bounty hunter class in general. Although I probaly missed something.
Been watching it for a bit, pretty underwhelming gameplay so far. Idk, the animations(especially) and the combat just seemed lifeless from what they showed. Eh, just not an impressive demo. But it is what it is, wouldn't be fair to judge the game on a demo.

I liked what I saw. I can apreciate how this game is not going to go down very well with a lot of people now though when before I thought the naysayers where all just beeing a bit negative for the sake of it. For me it looks like exactly what I wanted. Can't wait:)
1) The graphics and animations even turned down looked amazing. Draw distance was excellent which is very important to me.
2) The world as expected looks huge.
3) The companion was a very cool looking choice and looked cute. :-)
4) Loved the menu interface, map system and GUI in general.
5) Loved the voice overs and quest scenes
6) Loved the bike. I am so sick of horses and flying birds lol.
7) Love that they are still on target for 2011 :-)
8) Loved the ability to swap companions instead of running to the ship.
9) Loved the mini Companion Menu
10) Combat looked smooth.
Things I didn't like:
1) No weather changes at all. I realize there are no night day cycles, but it would have been nice to see some different weather conditions in different parts of the planet. Maybe it was turned off or it is in other areas of the same planet?
2) I wanted to see the same area on a PVP server lol...I mean..he mentioned it not me lol.
3) His voice is annoying when I'm trying to listen to the ambiance lol.
4) I wanted to see more multiplayer aspecs of that same area.
5) It really looked a little too barren to me, even though I realize that is a barren planet lol
All in all, I loved the demo. This is so much more useful to me than other types of updates.

regarding weather here is what they have said in the past about it:
Q: Are there weather condition changes on planets? - Fyror
A: Each planet has localized weather conditions. Depending on the world the weather you will encounter will include rain, snow, sandstorms and many other unfavorable conditions; it just happens to be a constant for those worlds. For example, if you’re on Hoth you can expect moderate to heavy snowfall with the occasional blizzard.

I guess where I'm going with this is that I wanted to see a sand storm :-)
Artistically the game looks very pretty. Tastefull colors, pretty enteriors and exteriors etc. But the graphics themselves are meh, but as i heard they toned them down for some reason (!!?).
But the real problem i have is the combat. It's VERY static. More static than WoW i would dare to say.

Ah, and I thought I was the only one that noticed this from these e3 videos. Very static. It just seemed flashy but lifeless at the sametime.
I got that same impression from the world and animations in general as well.
They are static, but what would you expect from a lvl 30 ish toon. Plus, the player behind the trooper was, sorry to say, bad. I'm curious to see combat at lvl 50 with, presumably, all our skills. I will say that the new UI looks better than the last rendtion we have seen. Also, I dont think erickson played the hunter like a person would who had lvld up those 26 lvls. But the fact remains, we dont have a realease date yet. And its so close to release (next few months) has me worried. E3 was THE PLACE to release a date. Has me worried some.

The combat looked absolutely terrible. Standing face to face exchanging point blank fire? Yikes. I remember similar scenes in STO's beta, and let me tell you, I don't have any fond memories from my experience with that.
Personally though, I thought the graphics were pretty good. The characters were done well and the world looked even better. It really felt like Tatooine.
The game is looking great, but after toying around with combat in it's early stages, I can't imagine the devs saying to each other: "Yup, this feels right", or "Fuck yeah, we got it!". It seemed more than a little out of date.

The combat did look static, can't deny it. But even from the first gameplay trailers it was looking like it would always be static. That in its self does not bother me, as you guys say; we have seen and done it, bought the tee shirt got married to it and divorced and lost the kids. The combat is not why I am buying it. What I want is Kotor that I can play with my freinds. I want story and character driven plot and I want a friking lightsaber on a toon who doesn't look like anything from swg. For me this game looks like it will deliver. I am happy.:)

thx for the link
At least some people now know that you can buy mounts and ride it. And not just Point A to point B.
Great change, allowing you to choose your companion at any time, rather then having to go back to your ship to switch one.
Thx for the link dude.:)
Tatooine is HUUUGE!

I disagree, I thought it was epic...
To each their own though
Daniel was just walking around and chilling a bit on Tatooine, mostly answering questions.
If I hear anymore complaints of the worlds being tiny after this I swear I'll come out of your monitor and pull a "the ring" on you.
He was clicking like a boss though

Wasn't really impressed. What I was expecting was WoW in space and that's exactly what I got. :
He who keeps his cool best wins.
I hate Jimmy Buffet!
"Entering Story Area..."
/sigh
WoW in space.

It felt like Kotor, even if he only showed a very small amount of dialogue.
And the worlds are huge, there is pvp a plenty on them. Everything I needed really.

Dear god the combat looks soooo boring. Aren't we past this "stand 2 feet from each other and shoot each other in the face" combat?
