Thinking about this game is frustrating. They don't even have a western publisher yet. Its all a big tease for now.
I sit on a man's back, choking him and making him carry me, and yet assure myself and others that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his lot by all possible means - except by getting off his back.
Name 1 MMO where you can build houses, towns, castles, ships, farms & non carebear PVP for territorial control.
I'll wait.
And the most important, it's not another generic wow clone with nothing but quests, instanced raids and instanced battlegrounds at endgame.
Farmville....LOL, sorry I just had to....
To be honest I don't want to be building a freaking farm in an MMO.
I've read quite a bit about this game and have seen videos and some aspects I want in an online game are lacking as well as anything else I want in a good MMORPG. Can't say that good MMORPG is out or if its coming anytime soon, but there you go...
I understand some people have different interests and might enjoy this game, but it looks to be Aion or any other asian MMORPG once again.
Looks like you are looking for another avarage themepark wow clone with nothing but quests and instanced raids.
This game isn't for you.
"Esport with tournaments is for hardcore pvp'rs that want to be competitive. Openworld PVP with ganking and griefing is for casuals that just wants their pvp mixed with pve from time to time." otacu
Why are people so hyped up over this? I see nothing special.
I was just wondering the same thing, haven't really read much about this game but from these movies it looks like it's just one big grind.
From what I have seen, big grind about covers it. Looks like I need to drop my hype for this game to zero.
Wel.. according to CBT3 testers you can lvl up with quests alone up to lvl 25.
The beta cap for CBT4 is 35, if you can lvl up with quests up to that level... i wouldn't consider ArcheAge a grind.
Unless you also consider grinds games ike WOW, Rift, SWTOR, WAR, etc

i sure hope they dont have publisher just make asian server avail to us in an anglish version .lot of game do it they support lot of langage wouldnt be hard to include english in their server just lock game at 1080p 24p and all problem of bandwith are solved

How much does that really matter when the combat engine performance is terrible? That sounds like a fine game if you put the right game engine around it, but from what I just watched, this is not it.
Believe it or not, there was a time where you could do more than PEW PEW in mmorpgs.
And unlike TOR, where in the closed beta you would drop to 2 fps with 10 players on the same screen, this game doesn't have any fps issues.
If Bioware was able to fix that mess, and ArcheAge doesn't even have that problem on the beta, there doesn't seem to be any isue with it. (never played it, buy after reading some CBT3 reports, there wheren't many fps issues)
I may also like to add that unlike SWTOR, ArcheAge doesn't have sharding on the same servers.
Why do you think Coruscant feels so dead? when the game launches, look at the top left part of your screen... you will see "Coruscant 150 players"
Excessive sharding, thanks to that crappy engine, even for main cities, that's what i call kiling the MMO part of an mmorpg.

then what is it that your looking for? it must not be a lavish land to romp and play in. it must not be the masive pvp content thats coming to AA. what is it that your want in an MMO that you just DONT see in AA? this should be good.
I don't know much about the game, but from the videos I've seen, I probably won't be playing it. The art style reminds me of every F2P game I've ever played.
I'm not saying it's a bad game, I'm just saying the artstyle is generic and unappealing.

150, are you serious. i had at any given time atleast 350 to 450 when i was in Corusant I also had that many on Talus as well.

then you need to list the F2Ps youve been playin that look like AA. because AA is gorgous! if theres a f2p out there that looks just like AA i want to know about it. oh and screen shots or it didnt happen and if you think the art style is generic and unappealing then what mmos out there would you say are better then AA. now think about this long and hard lol.
Im glad i saw first videos thx OP i know enough, this is absolutly not what i wanne play. Again this white skinned lineage moddelled pale skinned ELVES come on its so boring always every goddamn game from korea looks the same.
And i realy realy don't see whats so good about this game, i think already dozend other games out there maybe even more mmo's looking almost the same and camera movement looks very awkward to me also and clumsy. They have totally no immagination anymore in korea to come up with something new. Save me alot trouble follow this game thx again OP:)
Hope to build full AMD system RYZEN/VEGA/AM4!!!

The only developers that lack imagination (or balls to do something new) are westerns, not koreans.

Are you two really forming an entire opinion of a game based off of a couple beta videos of a low level character in the starting zone?
No ofcourse not, it's just a first impression. It's really hard to determine if a game is actually fun to play by just watching videos and especially by only reading about it.
I was just pointing out that viewing these videos the game comes across grindy, I'm looking forward to seeing some videos that show all the other features that were mentioned.

The ArcheAge threads are already extremely entertaining, but I have a feeling that they're going to get more and more epic as as we draw closer to an NA/EU release.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
The characters' faces usually look like it's a 15 y.olds. No face features. Male faces almost like females. Combat animation is very asian, superquick moves, flashes of light when you swing your sword, combat sounds are a bit weird and unpleasant, like most asian games. The ground looks a bit ugly, asian f2p style as well.
There's also some good stuff i noticed - the world looks nice overall, open spaces, wide areas. Can ride boats and stuff. Also it looks like it has a deep, complex gameplay and that's a good thing.

I want to have fun in a game, sorry but none of the Asian market games are ever fun. You play what you want I am just saying nothing I've seen in this game makes ME want to play it.
I hate WoW, I never gave it much of a chance, I just couldn't stand leveling above 20.
GW2 gives you a perfect example of how a game should be...competitive and broad with nothing that tells you do this quest because you need experience to level up. Hopefully GW2 turns out what it is promising to be, but I've only played it on PAX Prime so I can't say I gave it a chance either.

Thats what spaceport is saying.

Thanx for the info but the elf character creation was like a gay star by the way.
It looks bad. Very bad.
No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.
Coming from someone who thinks TOR has grind, you best skip this MMO.
