I'd assume as the test goes on it will expand , weird that they don't seem to have a sign-up on their site though, I guess as Jazzy said, best bet is to sign up for their newsletter.
I guess they're not inviting based on specs, and testing experience.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be one in a few weeks, if not sooner, once they open up testing of a broader pool. I guess it's random picking at present. Kinda different but not unheard of.

I really like the fact they pointed that clones or illusion are not there mainly to distract but mostly to use the shattering properly. When i read the official description and saw the vid, i was like, "well its a nice idea, but i'm not sure it will work very well", so i'm kind of released now, definitely a wise position because i'm sure most player will spot clone very easily.
Hey and i really loved the precision about grouping and the fact any kind of combination will in fact be valid, that's really really great, still will have to try it to be sure ;o nha i'm kidding, i'm the old UO school i know it can be done and that it work great ;D.
I also liked the precision about the support role and the fact some class will definitely be good at it, that's great imo. I feared a bit the self heal relying type of combat as it is in Darkfall for example, i think strong heal is a must even in non trinity games.
Love the fact switching weapon is important like in fps and that you can mid cast change them for the elementalist woot, i was kind understanding it, but having the confirmation is good.
For the sake of clarity: we've talked about closed beta and by that we mean that there is no public information about how to get in, as we're selecting the candidates carefully. We will not reveal any more information apart from what we just said.
EDIT: to be even clearer, there won't be any webpage for getting into the closed beta and we won't reveal how we're selecting candidates.

Well they released the final profession so I would think we are close to closed beta. I predict open beta by Feb. at the latest,
