This is just EA games trying to milk the game for every penny as soon as possible. It's exactly the kind of customer friendly service I have learned to expect from them over the years.
Agreed
You have no clue what your talking about. Most people put $5 bucks down to reserve a game. They dont pay for it until the game comes out, this case Dec 20th. So exactly how does your theory work?
Wake up the release date and launch date were Dec 13th not the 20th. Have not people paid for game and are now in game playing? That sounds like a game launch to me. EA is using this idea of "pre-oder access" So they can keep you in the blind as to when you are getting into game and to start recouping their investment as soon as possible. That is what pre-orders do it is basically a promise of payment if the customer puts down a deposit but it is logged as a sale. If they said the released date is the 20th with no early entry then told you that entering the game would be staggered over 7 days it would hurt their sales and people would be more pissed then this illusion of relased date vs early entry. The game released on the 13th. EA is not a charity and the sole purpose of SWTOR is to milk as much out of you as a customer as they can. That is why they are in business. So whether you were talking to me or Azaria we both do have a clue, it is just a different opinion then yours.
Thanks for proving my point you are clueless. The "release date" when you can buy it in the stores and when you have to have your box code or you cant play is DEC 20th. I have paid 5 bucks for my preorder. I have been playing since the 13th!! I will walk into gamestop on the 20th when the game is releaded and pay for my game. Right now is the early access which mean prior to release. Your right they are not a charity nor a baby sitter for all these people crying they didnt get in on the 13th when they preordered a week ago. First come First Serve!
really, really, omg all you QQers just need to shut up, First the staggering waves of letting in the preorders is a great idea because if they let everyone in all at the same time there would be sooo much lag that it would probably postpone launch of the 20th lol. So get off your dam high horse and just be happy your able to experience the EARLY ACCESS no matter if its 5 days early or 1 day early.
I was prepared for whatever comes, though until now i have been assured its "best game launch evah with no queues and lag".
Guess what im doing atm? Waiting in a queue. Ironic isnt it.
Well have to wait on "how great was launch" until weekend is over.
remember Rift's launch omg this is nothing like that was and this is tons better

I wasnt there but i hear shadowbanes launch takes the cake for worst launch ever
FFS reading all thhis QQing makes me worried about the player base SWTOR will have.....
Probably all kids are off school for christmas and getting in rage over these forums.... i hope is that
i can t believe adults are complaining aboutthis "pre.order" stagered launch....
well if the little kiddies are QQing then they all need to go back to their little panda pokeman crap game called wow and let us big men play the real game. because they cant handle it.

There was never a single solitary ounce of miscommunication. What has transpired is EXACTLY what Bioware described back in July. If you believe otherwise, you have serious comprehension problems.
The prelaunch guilds was a way to prevent server overload and prevent user clustering on a few servers.
If your talkin about TOR there was no such thing, caused a small stir up with affected guilds (betting all of em) but bioware stuck to the first come first serve system.
What gets me is that I'm in a guild that others are playing and yet I have no access because my preorder date is 1 Dec (Sorry Bioware I'm active duty Army). So I'm going to assume that the majority of my guild will be level 20 or higher by the time I get my access.
All guilded players should have sameday access.
Assnine policy Bioware.
You sir make me lose faith in humanity. How exactly would your suggestion help?
I have no idea how they done the pre-order / early access but it's a little borked.
I only pre-ordered end of November and I got in on 14th.
I checked my swtor account and the pre-order section and instead of ready to patch it said ready to patch and play or something like that so even though get an email. i just started up my client to make sure it was patched and the play button was lit. I've been in for 2 days now.
You got in you didnt.. so? They are not reading this nor do they care. They told everyone UP TO 5 days. Buy early get in early.. you didnt live with it. Nothing is going to change move on..

Try telling that to this guy....
"I just purchased 4 cute little kittens, il show what for if i dont get in next wave...I hope there not dog people"
It means 'Gief code' or face early access account death after 48 hours after 20th Dec launch date. Which is nice of them. The grace period, I mean.
