6. Stop using twitter (not even an EA site) as the primary means of distributing information on your game, isnt that what SWTOR.com is for?
This is not an EA thing or anything new.
There are schools, politicions, and many other game companys that are doing this to name a few groups that have joined the Twitter-train.
Happy or not I understand, and well, I have an extra 2 min to set up a free twitter acct.
I think it has to do with being able to basicly instantly update, instead of having to head on over to the web-master.
I dont know, I hate those sights and refuse to take part in them... I dont care whats going on day to day in peoples lives if its important call me, I really dont need to be innundated with posts like my dog took a dump and it smells so bad, or little bobby got an A today....
Really overall bad for society in my opinion no personal contact at all just instant messages and blogs.
This is pretty annoying. They should've sent an email confirming that in order to play you must purchase a subscription.
Because they didn't many others are trying to do the same thing at the same time. This includes myself as I had other things to do over the last few days. So it automatically expired and now because of this I'm unable to purchace a sub.
Frustrating as I finally have some free time, I hope others can understand this.
Preaching to the congregation here, i think everyone can understand the frustration.
Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy
I just called customer service to update my credit card info I had cancelled mine and forgot that I did, they told me someone would call me back wtf!!! This service is garbage!!!
I don't understand why anyone has to sub right now anyway. I paid for the game which comes with 30 days of play time. I already have a subscription but I can't play until I put in CC info? Its BS and poorly done to boot.
Think its bad now? Wait till both east and west coast USA get out of bed, wont be suprised if whole website suffocates under the might of millions of rabid subscribers =D
I still cant subscribe, when i press continue after saying which plan i want i just get 'an error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please try again later'.
Getting the same error so pissed that I forgot to update my information when I lost my credit card I didn't even think about it. But this website situation and the fact that customer service can't fix anything is just garbage!!!
I just called customer service to update my credit card info I had cancelled mine and forgot that I did, they told me someone would call me back wtf!!! This service is garbage!!!
Even customer service reps cant get access to the system to sort thhis out.
What hope for the rest of us.
What time is it in USA atm ?
They tookl it down to fix it..
It is between 9am(east coast)..and 6am(west coast) atm in US
Trying to decide when to try again, 40 minutes is a bit rediculous.
been trying since like 8:30 and it has been crap this is utter garbage, I am a big supporter of the game but when I can't even call customer service to fix an issue and a higher level tech has to call me back this is utter bullshit
All the brainaics waited till today to subscribe and now complain about the waiting room.
Fracking hilarious! Lemme guess, you did'nt see it coming... I mean I did... but I am some sort of mutant with the ability to see into the future...
... or maybe just a normal dude with common sense.... what does that make these guys?
I had subbed did it months ago so I forgot that my cc got lost and I needed to update it. I even went last night after servers were down to make sure everything was set up but the website was down so I couldn't do anything, I called customer service and there answer was someone will call you back we can't help you at all have a nice day wtf is the point of customer service at that point!!!
Well I, for one, am beyond confused. My account page does not have a check mark next to the Redeem a Product Registration Code and therefore will not let me subscribe or redeem a Game Time Code.
I enter my code, which I've already entered, and it tells me the code has been used.
I go to my Games page and it says, "You registered your Pre-Order code on... and now are registered for the following items: Star Wars:The Old Republic Digital Standard Edition Pre-Order Early game access." Oh- and I have (had) my color stone in game.
So they know I bought it but... they don't know I bought it? This has been the same now for the last week so when I tried to pay for my subscription earlier and saw this mess, along with the fact that I had access to the game and had my color stone in game, I assumed their website simply wasn't reflecting updated info and that I was good to go. So much for assuming. At this point I'd like nothing more than to give them my money but I have no idea how they want me to do that!
I remember telling my brother that I couldn't figure out how to buy his product from his website and that this might be a problem for his earnings potential. I guess someone should tell EA the same thing?

No, the individuals who waited till this morning are the one who are handling their business poorly. This is a user induced ddos attack brought about by customer stupidity and lack of foresight.
If they had made the fecking subscription available earlier in the EA it would happen, but not every one check the webpage every fecking day. Besides my CE is registered and I should have my 30 free days to play and register my subscription details.

What to tell you? Other than you did not subcribe months ago, the option was not avaliable until a few days ago.
I put my info in as soon as I could, it's not EA/Bio's fault you lost ot forgot to update your info. You are dealing with thousands of folks with simillar stories, I forgot, I did not know, etc etc... but all at the same time... it's pretty logical why this is happening.

Very ignorant of you, the only reason I wasnt able to update my sub info early was because I either a) never recieved my registration email with product key, or b) I accidently deleted it.
I had gone through two eastern named guys on the origin customer service chat, each time getting the run around and horrible service. Finally I got a hold of some guy named Marvin who was able to quickly send me a new email and get my code. Then I registered but by then the servers were already down along with the website... which reminds me, WHY on earth does the webservers go down when the game servers do. Makes no sense!
I finally got in to the subscription page and now when i try to by a subscription it says''We're sorry, but we can't perform transactions to this credit card. Please load a different one.'' what the hell?
OMG so close.... just got to verify and complete stage... now waiting the 10 minutes for the receipt or error message.....
only been trying since 7:15 AM Eastern
LOL the next page still loading but got this in email
You have successfully created a subscription for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. If you subscribed to a 30 or 60 day recurring plan, you will be billed on a recurring basis without further notfication. If you are subscribed to a 180 day recurring plan, you will be notified approximately 30 days prior to being billed
So now to try to access the game and see if I can.
How I would of done it? I would of done it at the end of the 30 days free which is payed for when buying SWTOR, by then many players would of resubed before the end of the 30 days and would of been less volume of people setting up subs by the end of the 30 free days

You said YOU: 1. never recieved a regestration code
2.lost you code....
Neither one is biowares fault... you need to contact who you bought the game from about the code, the second excuse is all you.
