First the PR dissaster regarding HighRes textures!
Now they royally screw up with Patch 1.1 regarding PVP with a huge Valor exploit and spawnpoint camping on Ilum.
Them saying they had the Industry's best working on this game? ROFL! If that really is the case, than the MMO genre is done for! /shrug

lol, I also think the responses are hilarious.
Well... this is pure amateurism at best tho! What the hell were they thinking? And let it go live as they did?
If they don't take the servers offline immediately and do a Valor rollback, then this game is going to see the largest "true" ragequit in MMO history.
Doing individual investigation and temporary bans isn't going to suffice with this issue. As for PVP this is dissaster and a nail in the coffin if it isn't dealed with properly and swiftly!
All in all! This could not have come at a worse moment than a day before the end of the first 30 days.
In retrospect it was wise of them to delay the patch. Don't want to rush these things you know.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
The real dumb thing is that they already knew that people were exploiting valor in Illum by trading. So they should have been on the lookout for things like...oh I don't know...a turret that respawns instantly and grants valor when captured?
It's also funny that they held the patch back for further review, and then decided it was good enough to release when it had a MAJOR issue lol .
Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?
LOL!!! Yikes! Kronus's sig video... WAT TH' KRAP!!!???
Yep... I'll definitely be hiding in my ship crafting all night... but I've been saying it all along... the FU's to non- FU balance isn't bad at all, it's the Rep to Imp imbalance that I've been seeing. The imp side just ALWAYS seems WAY busier...
I don't think it is that bad. WOW had also some pvp exploits they kept in for a few days with tol barad (though I still think it was a holiday gift) and the servers did not go up in flames.
Hotfixing the turrets should be enough.
Epic fail
Hope they can stop the leaking fast before the rage dam burst
I do too but i have to say as being a non pvper that from an outside viewpoint are they REALLY seriously banning people AGAIN for something they messed up? Why aren't they rolling back valor points which is what WoW did when this happened to them?! Again a huge bug that some people did exploit but handled by extreme action instead of fixing the problem will only cause people to leave the game faster. I know i would if i saw that happening to my friends.
Gotta agree. I am on Chundaar server, which is always at Very Heavy when I am playing during peak EU times. On my trooper for instance, I see about 50 ppl on Alderaan average, on my BH I see about 100..
However, saying that, I never have a problem grouping with my trooper. Normally within about 10mins of sending out LFGs I have 4 ppl together....

Well even my gf (who doesn't bother with forums at all) said we should cancel now we still can. So we just canceled our subs till further notice.
I have pretty much lost all faith in Bioware in just a matter of weeks. As there is really nothing left from the good ol' Bioware. It has become just another EA studio with noobs.
- The fiasco with HighRes textures
- Free 30 days running out end of today (2 days early), instead of friday!
- The total lack of GM's and horrible Customer Service
- The horrible UI (which I seriously thought would at least somewhat being addressed in this patch a month after launch. No more mention about it...... feels like another DCUO)
- The rampant exploits (from credits to valor) that are dealt with a "velvet" glove (warnings and temporary bans only... so people basically just get away with it. Them paying a sub is more important to EA!). The current massive exploit on Ilum just calling it a "potential" issue (ehh what?)
- Lots of issues that are largely ignored and not dealt with.
- Features that have suddenly been removed from the game at the end of Beta, without any "real" explanation nor when they might come back into the game?
And that's just out of the top of my head.
It's pretty much only temporary bans, like with the credit exploits. So people actually just get away with it. That is just even worse!
The way Bioware is handling this game, is just downright shamefull and really blows the mind! As they surely must see that they are basically running their own game into the ground this way. I have seen some serious screw ups with other MMO studios.... but not like this.
It's their 1st mmo and seeing how they manage to dwindle WAR to one NA server, i'm glad that i hold on to my wallet till at least 3-6 month ^^

I got 11 valor for killing one this morning.

Have you seen the videos and screenshots that prove otherwise?
Imperial players are zerging the Republic's only spawnpoint and raking in tons of valor, climbing ranks in matter of hours.
The turrets instantly respawn after destruction. With a large enough zerg (which is peanuts for Imperial side to muster, as on pretty all servers they outnumber republic by 4-5 to 1), you can destroy a hell lot of turrets in a short time span.
Not to mention that there is appearently no diminishing returns on valor gain by killing the same player/NPC over and over again.
If there weren't any exploits and issues right now, there wouldn't be an uproar!
Yeah, that 100+ page thread is full of lies and trolls. Sometimes I think you'd say anything to defend this game.
Your doing it wrong mate.

Maybe actually playing the game might help with your insights?
Have you actually bothered looking at all the videos, live streams, screenshots out there? All showing massive imperial zergs on the Republic spawnpoint.
Just saying.
The reasons why so many people are playing Empire are "ironically" extremely similar as to why so many people were playing Chaos in Warhammer Online, that again "ironically" suffered from the exact same balance issues.
I guess the "tiny" fact that Mythic got merged with Bioware a long while ago isn't a coincidence as to why we see the "exact" same glaring mistakes in SW:TOR, that pretty much nailed the coffin for Warhammer Online.
{mod edit} Check out the video and thread.

I don't have to give you any server names, because it's pointless as you just don't like to hear the truth anyway.
Here another site picking up: http://kotaku.com/5877245/star-wars-the-old-republic-patch-11-breaks-high+end-pvp
I guess they are lying too, just like everyone on the official forums.
It's not exploitable at this time. You get valor faster in warzones...
But I guess if you want to farm a turret for 11 valor go nuts.

Whoops. It's like watching a self destruct mode accidentally activate.
