A cross server LFG is bad for the community IMO, but from what they said they are adding a server only LFG so i'm happy with that, my main problem is finding flash point groups or (pugs) for when my time is limited in this game other then that the game is tight, I just feel that they need to have better tools in place to help bring the community together if that means mergeing servers, LFG or both im all game for that.
It's not bad. Pros are interactive dialogues and that you tend to group a lot more than you do in other theme park MMOs. Cons are that in terms of gameplay there really isn't much new to see here, plus there's a certain lack of immersion in the world(s). And I'm not sure how much grouping you can do while leveling anymore since the population has dropped significantly (by my guess, at least).
I enjoyed the game for most of the free month, but started getting a bit bored by the end. Decided I didn't want to renew my sub after that. It was really fun in the beginning because of the dialogues and the fact that it was so easy to find people to group with to do the veritable ton of leveling group content.

Flash points and heroic quests are done in groups but they are completely optional. I have done only a handful and I can progress the game, and do most storylines, just fine without them
That's your own problem. The content is there, and if you don't wish to utilize it, then that's not a fault of the game. Flashpoints, Warzones, Heroic areas/quests, world bosses, etc., are all available in the game to be done with others quite consistently as you level. Try not skipping them in favor of grinding out solo quests next time.

That's the crux of it. Although patch 1.2 is still needing the much needed cross server group finder. The game was released 6 months too early. I've seen rumors of them needing to get it out before 2012 or face some problems with LA. If that's not the case, EA was certainly eager to get it out around christmas time.

A same server group finder would have possibly been enough to get me to sub past the first month. A cross server dungeon finder with shorter waits would have more potential to keep me. If I want server community I'll join a guild or PVP premade.

I would say this is pretty accurate summary.
The game is not terrible, but it is not incredible either.
For myself, it is a decent (not great) single player game with mulitplayer attached with duct tape (how it feels to me). Imo, the story lines are a little lacking, considering all the hype about how great it would be. At times it almost becomes too 'chatty cathy' and not enough 'pew pew'.
As others have pointed out, the game released with a lot of missing elements - making it feel almost like a 2007 game, rather than a 2012 MMORPG.
So in general, it is just not the game that it was hyped, hope and/or expected it would be.

You're not going to have a group handed to you whenever you want it for whatever you want to do without having to think or talk to anyone, ever. You're not going ot have ranked PvP arena combat with a macro programmed 'I Win' button, and gear handed to you on a silver platter. You're not going to have all the flight paths granted to you on birth and be able to travel anywhere you want, really fast, without any knowledge of the world whatsoever.
What you will find is great storylines, if your not to impatient and hit the space bar out of rage every time a VO comes up. You will also find great fun in PvP (under level 50) if you want to have fun. DISCLAIMER : if you are anal retentive and expect all PvP to be more precious than life itself, and you believe every warzone match MUST be a win or the world will end tomorrow, you may not like this game much on the PvP. It's about having fun fighting others, its not an epeen competition with a chance to put your name on a trophy for all time to see.
Also, if you decide to TRY and be a part of the community, and of your guild, you will find a great deal of teamwork in accomplishing all the content the game has to offer. This only works if you are willing to participate with others though, if you expect to be carried, chances are you will be eventually outcast and left alone.
Oh and last but not least, you may actually think this game is bad if you are a whiner. To clarify that, if you are one who enters the game thinking it sucks before you even try it, roll a character, and proceed to tell everyone in game you meet how much you were right and the game really does suck. Well if that descibes you, then you will most likely be talked down to on a regular basis, never get into a team to do anything, get kicked from multiple guilds, and generally think the game is bad, long befor you quit playing around level 20-25. However, the bright side to this is you can come to the interweb forums and preach for months on how awesome you were in having predicted the game sucked long before you proved it by playing for 2 weeks.

I would say the difficult part, is simply sifting through the various reviews.
For myself, when a review is filled with negative descriptions about the fans/critics, then it flags the review as potentially less than accurate and/or free of bias.
I generally look for reviews that seem to attempt to avoid charactrizations of other gamers, but rather simply focuses on the 'meat and potatos' of the game (ie it has x, y, z, but is missing p, d, q. or B element was implemented good/well/poor, etc).
Do the trial when they release it, and see for yourself. Taking advice from anyone on this site is like asking a Truther who to vote for in the election. Besides, they have NO idea what you're looking for n a game.
The problem is they cleverly give you just enough time with the trial, 7 days, to experience the whole foundation of the game, that being the leveling experience. If you somehow manage to get to 50 in 4 days and spend 3 days post 50 you will see why it sucks and wont sub. Most people will not get to 50 in 7 days and be taken by the VO but rest ashured the VO gets boring after a while and you'll be spacebaring through it by mid 40's if not sooner.
If on the other hand you just play casually you may think it's a good game. Problem is, eventually you wil hit 50 and realize how bad it actually is post 50.
Asking whether the game is bad on here is a hit or miss affair really. If you can trawl through the pages and pages of utter rubbish written by the plain dumb, the illiterate, uneducated, uninformed, overly biased, randomly butthurt, excessively defensive,and so on, you might find a handful of well written and thought out responses which might help to answer your question.
It's whether you can be bothered to trawl through the opinions of a bunch of complete c.unts to find the good stuff.
Reading the forums on this site is the best advert for single player games going.

After almost three months the UI is still an intolerable mess not remotely up to standards set years ago ( no, I'm not refering to addons playing the game for you ), the engine is still a wortless pos unable to handle more than two players in one place and PvP is still a ridiculous CC fest with every class sporting a large bouquet handpicked from simple snares and roots to more elaborate stuff like the force chokes ( channeled stuns ).
Picking the game up for a few bucks is totally worth it for the ( mostly ) single player story part, I'd recommend staying the **** away from the MMO part of the game though. Some of the "free" games around do that better and by a very significant margin.
