    42.  How can you possibly say there is no immersion, there is not a MMO leveling experience out there that immerses you more into your character, that's something they did amazingly well.

    49.  You say the spacebar skip is "slow" but it has nothing to do with it being a slow response time.  It's because other players are watching the scene.  If all party members in a group quest spacebar immediately you will not see anything.

That being said 48 out of 50 is still an A.

I was a huge supporter during the hype and during the leveling process but the main issue for me is that SWTOR should not be considered an MMO.  It's an amazing albeit buggy single player/ co-op RPG with a chatbox.  Once you're 50 you either roll an alt or go play something else.

i found myself not immersed at all due to the story which while i enjoyed the novelty at first, soon turned me off the whole levelling experience due to it being very predictable and bland. Also it was kinda immersion breaking for me when my character spoke in a way that i feel was not how my character should speak. This is all to my personal taste however.

The other immersion breaking thing, which is what i think the other poster was referring to, was the dull lifeless worlds. Everything is just there, there is no life, and recently it has been made worse by lack of players.

I havent yet reached 50 and i find myself less motivated to do so, thanks mainly to the story. not only that, but i have no desire to roll an alt as most of the "story" is recycled for each class.

As a single player game it falls short. Compare it to KOTOR or Skyrim. As an MMO it falls short. But as a Co-op SRPG with multiplayer elements, its fairly enjoyable, but does not warrant a subscription

Currently playing- SWG PreCU & GW 2
Have tried WoW, AoC, & Vanguard, SWG:NGE, GW, LOTRO & SWTOR

Oh hey, I almost forgot. SWTOR has passed by the 3 month mark as of yesterday. All those people back then who said it would be dead and gone by now, and who gave thier word to come back at the 3 month mark and appolige to everyone for being wrong....well...I'm waiting. Afterall you did give your word.

The haters on this site are by no means a fair representation of the MMO playing community as a whole.

Anyone that says the 1.7million number is innaccurate doesnt understand coporate liability - If they lie about the subscriber numbers to the shareholders they are commiting a criminal offense. I seriously doubt they are doing that.

And no one would ever fudge numbers or lie to shareholders. Just ask Wall Street

Yeah Enron, those days a re LOOOONG gone, buddy. Nice try though

LMAO you must've missed a bunch of the headlines the last couple of years. Best you get off your MMO and out of the basement and catch up.

What headlines, show me WHERE a corporation blatantly lied to its shareholder recently. BEcause its illegal.

Look up Sarbanes Oxley Act. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about, lol headlines? rofl. Do not believe everything you read on the internet.

I work in Wall street. I dont sit around on an MMO all day. How bout you big guy? lol

Thats a terrific way to prove your trustworhy and well informed... HAHAHAHA

MF Global or Madoff well after enron or worldcom...... aahh, nvm I think we were all just trolled people : moving on.

I wonder if they will actually make a real game outta swtor, like a swtor reverse NGE.

Just curious, what career field do you work in? Since you're an authority on the ethical background of others.

EDIT: Oh and in case you failed ot notice - the person your responding to stated that lying to your shareholders was against the law. And unless I am mistaken, all those that you name as examples of peopl ethat lied to thier shareholders are where now?? Thats right, not in business anymore are now are they??? Seems you proved his point very well.

You might do better if you name those individuals, although that would require evidence of who they are rather than a generalised comment.

Sith Wyrm server is doing fine. But, I am sure someone will post a link to one of those "accurate" server population sites though.

I could go back and search these forums and find thier posts sure. I guess I could come out and single them out by name. But you know as well as I do if I do that the only thing they will do is report me for personal attacks and the post will be deleted by a mod and I'll get 3 days off. :) Again, if they have any honor in thier own word, they will do what they said they would. I shouldn't have to call them out to do it. They know who they are.

I have a couple emails saved on here for a couple of them, the rest are in posts on these forums where they openly stated they would. Its there, not a generalized comment. Trust me, they know who they are. And again, like I said already, I dont honestly expect ANY of them to do what they gave thier word on.

well thats great, but not all servers are maintaining their players. There are more than a few that have the same story as mine.

If you're going to call those people out, don't forget to call out all those people who said "The game just got released, give it a few months and it will be working great!"

Again, its not what you say, but how you say it. You said "servers are dead", isnt' that what you said? Last I checked my server isnt dead, this person here says his server isnt dead, so obviously they are not ALL DEAD AND GONE BEFORE THE 3 MONTH MARK...now are they?

I could if I asked them back then if they would come back in 3 months and appologize for being wrong. But alas, I did not think to ask them for the same promiss at that time. I am sorry, I will remember to do that on the next game...GW2 is coming up, maybe I can do it  on that one. Acceptable?

Hey all I'm for it really, personally I think EVERYONE should be held accountable for everything they say in public. If they get caught telling BS, they should be held to account for it, either for a game or against it, doesn't matter to me. :)

An empty server does not equal a dead one, but the effect is the same, anecdotal evidence shows many are rerolling on the busier servers so if yours is busy then it is unlikely to change anytime soon.

If you have evidence to support your claim i suggest you contact the authorities. Do you? No? Didnt think so.

There's a difference between people paying a sub because they are locked into it with a multi-month plan, and those people actually playing and still interested in the game.  I'll give you the first part, but I think you've been smoking the drapes if you think there are 1.7 million of the second group.  After the free month, the three month plans should end towards the end of April, is that about right?  May's numbers, if they are released, will be the first accurate gauge of the health of the population.  Three months after that will be an even better gauge.

The numbers cited shortly after the release are meaningless.  Everyone knew it would be a ridiculously large launch.  Some of us though, didn't believe it had the legs for a long distance race.  Nothing I've seen so far has dissuaded me from that.  After the six months plans have expired and the bong smoke has cleared, I'm still calling for a 300,000 - 400,000 population.  By no means small, but not anywhere in the neighbourhood of what is being claimed right now.

Using your logics, I logged onto WoW a few times this week and on my server the zones I went to i found 1-2 players . most of the ones I ran into where named RTYUIOOIA or KJSIHAPIUD, I asume you see what Im getting at.

You ARE wrong, the game isnt dead, the game isnt gone, the game isnt even making plans to go FTP yet, it may not have the subsciber numbers as some would have hoped but the game is far from circling the drain. Heck my own server(s) are rather active and there even seems to be an increase of activity.

i am talking about every day in nearly every shared zone i can fnd. not just 1 or 2. i literally go around trying to find people, even if it is to help new players/toons on the starter planets.

i have admitted not all servers are like mine, ther are clearly a few busy servers. but there is a hell of a lot of dead servers too. so dont come telling me i'm wrong without due reason

i am talking about every day in nearly every shared zone i can fnd. not just 1 or 2. i literally go around trying to find people, even if it is to help new players/toons on the starter planets.

i have admitted not all servers are like mine, ther are clearly a few busy servers. but there is a hell of a lot of dead servers too. so dont come telling me i'm wrong without due reason

Ok, lets get some facts here. What server do you play on that is dead? you state "a hell of a lot of dead servers too", so lets get names on them too. If you are going to come out making these claims lets get the facts directly.

(DISCLAIMER - The use of the word YOU in the above post is not directed at any one person in particular, but towards those who fall into the category itself - there is no personal attack here, neither intentional nor implied.)

All those people back then who said it would be dead and gone by now, and who gave thier word to come back at the 3 month mark and appolige to everyone for being wrong....well...I'm waiting. Afterall you did give your word.

well the servers are dead :P

Wrong, nice try though. Spin Spin Spin all you want, game is still there. Its ok though, I dont honestly expect any of those that promissed to actually do what they said they would.

I'm wrong? how can i be wrong when i log in and see no-one pray tell?

even when i travel around to various planets and see the numbers in single figures?

its not spin, its fact, but fact based only on my server. so please dont accuse me of lying when i'm still logging onto what is essentially a dead server

Using your logics, I logged onto WoW a few times this week and on my server the zones I went to i found 1-2 players . most of the ones I ran into where named RTYUIOOIA or KJSIHAPIUD, I asume you see what Im getting at.

Thats kinna the funny thing, the zones Im talking about ARE shared on WoW as well. Im even including lvl 80 and 85 daily quest zones.

There is a decline in the player base yes, but the game far from dieing. Unless you want to use the same logics that applies to any random human, the day you are born you already slowly are dieing, unless you are the highlander.

I do expect the player base to drop to a medium size and maintain a smallish but steady and devoted number of players. Its not as bad as on rift, where despite their large promotion campain, "avoided" server merges by offering free transfers. Yet rift isnt dead yet either.

However numbers dont lie. This game has 1.7million subscribers. That makes it at worst, the 3rd most popular MMO (After WoW and Eve). Thats a massive success no matter which way you look at it.

How bout you big guy? lol

Wait... you honestly believe that because something is illegal that it doesnt happen?

Ok you might want to sit down for this next one I have to tell you about illegal drugs....

When I say dead, I mean as in lack of activity. There still players on, but none of the grouping up that used to happen regularly seems to be happening. Flashpoints are a bitch to find when they used to be easy to find. The population on my server is kinda small when taken into consideration on how many servers there are.
