not on there. i looked before i responded to ya in the first place.
I fail to see what your point is. I gave you the link to show you cash shop items(3 of them) that will be in game. One of them that has a PvP effect.
Do they not count because they aren't on the page you linked?
Actually there is no argument because neither of us can PROVE that they are a CS item. All yours proves is that they are a DD and CE item.
Not true. These items are the only official cash shop items we do know about for sure. All others have not been officially released.
a leak is far from official. and they stated that anything in the cs is subject to change... so official wont be until release or they state that its no longer changing
a leak is far from official. and they stated that anything in the cs is subject to change... so official wont be until release or they state that its no longer changing
I'm assuming they won't remove the three cash shop items included in the DD and CE versions. Since they are already advertised on their website.
Im seriously wondering here.. why all the hate for a CS? From what i gatherd from the "leak" nothing in there bothers me at all. I dont plan on buying any of the boosts, keys, or res orbs. Maybe a character slot, the dye pack looks juicy, bank slots, and maybe Bags if i dont wanna wait to get em in game.
The game is not based on gear. (yes i know said many many many times) You are automatically deleveled when you go into a lower leveled zone so you dont steam roll it. So yes it is for all intents and purposes Cosmetic.
None of the items i saw worked in PvP.
So please. In the spirit of the rational posts i have seen here. Tell me why the hate.
The Chalice of Glory is an item which increases glory gain. Glory is used to unlock PvP rewards.
You can check it out by going to the Guild Wars 2 pre-purchase page. There are 3 cash shop items in the Digital Deluxe and Collector's edition.
I have a feelng that the Tomb of Inluence will be a big seller for all guilds that love to have bragging rights.
you must be looking at different leak pics than me. because i dont see any of those in them, seems like its an incentive to purchase the DD or CE.
This should make things easier for you. One-time use and is for pre-orders only! I really hope you do understand what this means, so I will not need to start explaining to you the "basic words" for what this really means ok?
PS: Same goes for Tome of Influence.
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy? Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
Why the hell does people keep saying that the game WILL become P2W when the debs themselves have said countless times that they're gamers themselves and despise P2W?
If they haven't made this option then they have their reasons. I haven't seen the game in action so I cannot tell if the cash shop really has that much of an advantage, or if it will affect my playstyle. So this is how I would make my decision if the game had both types of servers.
I purchase the game.
Play on server that doesn't require reoccuring fee to see if cash shop will affect my playstyle.
If it does then I switch to reoccuring fee server forcing me to start over. Not cool, but I want fair competition.
If not then I am content where I am and stay.
The server with the reoccuring fee will have to force you to start over because it wouldn't be fair to the others who are already in the reoccuring fee server if you just start out at whichever level you were at on the server that didn't require a reoccuring fee.
Ultimately the server that doesn't require a reoccuring fee will have the highest population. But then the question would arise, 'Would anyone consider playing in the server that is reoccuring fee to play with less people?'.
Or maybe, 'If we segregate our players do to how much they can afford, will it hurt our games popularity rating amongst all players involved?'.
It's a rough road, and they might be taking the moral high ground which you should all respect. There comes a point when the servers will require revenue on top of the access fee to maintain connectivity. I say leave it up to the players to decide, and not the developers. I am not saying there shouldn't be another type of server, I am just saying there is no point at release time to make this decision simply because the players haven't had enough time to really come to it yet.
a leak is far from official. and they stated that anything in the cs is subject to change... so official wont be until release or they state that its no longer changing
I'm assuming they won't remove the three cash shop items included in the DD and CE versions. Since they are already advertised on their website.
No they wont remove them from the cs or the dd. but that doesnt state they will put them in the cash shop, You are trying to say its logical for them to becaue they put them in DD, and CE. As that could be possible, there is no where you can see proof of that
The bonuses you get when you order the game are indeed cash shop items.
The reason they did this was to introduce players unfamiliar to a cash shop to those items. Their hope is that after you use them you will go back to the cash shop to purchase more.
Link it, or stop spreading missinformation.
The url you posted DOES NOT show ANY cash shop items. That is the link for the preorders (as you yourslef and many others have stated already countless times). Out of those items that (can be used in PvP) we have NO idea how they will be used, if they will be viable, etc.
For example: The elite wolf skill. It could be OP, it could be a skill that starts to become useless by lvl 30. It's really impossible to tell until it's ingame. The 'PvP-unlocks' again, could mean anything. But given that this is the same company that did GW1, it's most likely that this just means that they will give you a slight head start towards unlocking talents / skills in PvP.
Again, if you are going to scream 'the sky is falling', at least do a little bit of research before spewing blatant missinformation on these forums. It's annoying. I find it extremely ridiculous how (in literally less than a day) we go from 'how was the CS in GW1?' (of which the entirety of answers ranged from 'i didn't use it' to 'it wasn't really necessary to play, but i got some costumes'); to 'OMG this is the most unfair system every! subscription model PLEASEE!!!'.
You want a subscription? drop 15$ a month on the CS, towards mini-pets or w/e else you feel like getting. You'll get more for your money, even if you'll be paying more than the majority of other players. I'm not sure which is worse, if the OP is trolling, or if he isn't.
And leave the cash shop off of these servers. I love alot of what I've read about this game, but I just won't pay a game with a CS that has anything but cosmetic items in it, I'd prefer not even that because you know EVENTUALLY the sword of 1000 truths will show up in that thing. Make it a smaller sub, like maybe 9 bucks a month and I bet you'd be shocked at how popular those servers would be.
you are absolutely ridiculous... OMG cash shop has items that drop in game and are available to everyone /cry /b!tch /moan. Did you even see that most of the items people had issue with were REMOVED during the weekend already. My god ppl just like to b!tch without knowing anything.
Wait....are you bitching?
no I am ranting at ignorant people who can't bother to learn before they make wild claims.
But KingGator has an opinion and a good point. Anet can later on put the sword of 1000 truths in. I don't see why you are mad.
why would they? Why would they comit suicide as a company? I swear you just spout recycled arguments that have been answered time and time again. If they put actual gear in there.. as in some suped up sword or something that would be directly against what they have said. So basically they would turn into Bioware. Even if they ever thought of that, which Anet has no shady history so doubt they would ever think of it... but IF they did. They learned a lesson when Bioware killed their company by putting DLC on the release disc and then lying about it. I am mad because the OP didn't look anything up, just spouted nonsense to rile ppl up. Crap I guess I fell for it >.<
This should make things easier for you. One-time use and is for pre-orders only! I really hope you do understand what this means, so I will not need to start explaining to you the "basic words" for what this really means ok?
PS: Same goes for Tome of Influence.
So it's a consumable. You will have to purchase more from the cash shop.
It's not going to happen, no matter how many of these plea threads that come up. If the current model they are pursueing doesn't work, then they may consider it. If you look at the hype and the likely success of GW2 despite the detractors, there is no real need for them to do this.
Probably not the most popular answer, but one I'm afraid that is going to be lived with.
Oh I agree, but why wouldn't it happen? It would mean additional money. There are tens of thousands of us I'd wager who won't try this game strictly because its going to be p2w. They shouldn't just dismiss another revenue stream out of hand, many businesses have mulltiple payment options.
Lol... Right... P2W cash shop... How did you come up with this conclusion? The leaked photos of cash shop is only beta one, not everything will stay there. They were trying out what will people spend 2000 gems they get in beta so they can see what people actually want in there.
Stop with this P2W nonsence... it's retarded.
Yeah... that's actually all the more reason to get upset about things in the beta cash shop you don't like. ANet won't remove P2W-esque items from the cash shop UNLESS enough people openly voice their issue with such things. The cash shop will be shaped by feedback. Keeping your mouth shut over concerns of potential P2W in the cash shop is probably the dumbest thing to do right now.
No it would be good to debate about it IF we would actually see something in the cash shop that is P2W... This way it makes no sence..
Just because you haven't seen P2W in the cash shop from the little bit of leaked info, it doesn't mean it's not there.
Besides, complaining about the potential of P2W in the cash shop also helps to prevent it from ever getting there in the first place.

You know what assuming does right?
Even if these items magically go to the cash shop, they have no effect in the game at all. PVP items are only cosmetic and you can pay 100g to get 10k influence AND influence is easy attainable and has a cap on how much you can use.
Not true. These items are the only official cash shop items we do know about for sure. All others have not been officially released.
can ya link where. cus im honestly interested in seein that. nothing i have seen tells me that those are CS items.
The Golem Banker is only good for 5 days.
I played Atlantica Online during beta. They had quite a few items that worked on this principal. You rented convience for a fee. In the case of the Golem Banker I would wager it might be the convience of being able to access your bank from anywhere.
