this and also if you bought it now you may not have time to download it in time and it might cause unneeded lag on their system and confusion with ppl trying to get into the BWE last minute. My guess is they will reopen sales after the weekend.

I may be on the side of error here but how can you sell out of a product that's a digital copy?

  Very easily.  You determine the maximum acceptable load on the servers you have available.  Once you reach that point, you have 'sold out'.

Seems it's region specific, EU, doesn't seem to be sold out yet.

There are a total of 48 servers listed for this WBE. We don't know exact capacity numbers, but that's a lot of people.

It's just a marketing scheme to force impulsive buyers to purchase the CE version of the game.

It makes sense. They want people talking and sharing about their experience playing the game not their experience with the lag in-game.

Ye seam to be only for US, i can still purchase and i'm from euro zone. OP should probably change his title.

Maybe it only sold out on US, im EU and it doesnt say its sold out for me. I alreayd got mine, but went there to check it .

Probably US servers reached max capacity for this beta.

They almost had to do this just incase they got flash mobbed. Word of mouth spreads like wildfire these days and "If" the impact was big enough with tweets firing off all over the place once people are actually playing, then all thier careful preperation would have been blown. This weekend has to be Perfect. If I were them I wouln't risk it either.

No it is the fact that the CE version is a physical copy with goodies and they have already factored these into beta server space.

Well, they did say that if they reached a certain capacity they would limit pre-purchase. They're probably close to the cap they set, and thus had to slow down sales.
