gratz on 50 ! I really should have played a lot more betas. I'm taking my time looking at everything. Gonna be at least a 3-4 weeks for me to hit my first 50. Now get to work on the raids. Good luck getting a artifact weapon going, that should take a few months to complete alone.
So these type of people get congrats for reaching cap lvl within what?
I would rather see MMORPG players say shame on those fast levelers.
Now did they have fun and will continue playing the game no worries, but these type of things seeing/reading reach cap lvl this quick simply doesn't make sence to me.
Don't forget it's a sport in itself: being realm first is a title, and no one takes it away from you.
For that reason i hope they also have titles for realm first 50 doing only pvp, without dying once, wearing no armour at all, without doing any quest, using only one ability etc. etc. Those are all fun accomplishments to go for
I give it a fair chance that the people who just hit 50 start a second character to actually see all the content.
This rush to 50 is a game in itself, just like pvp or pve are different things to do in the same game.
The devs are even promoting it as a themepark with a lot to do for whatever playstyle u fancy.
So all i can say is: congratulations Sirs, get a good night sleep, drinkn a victory beer, and i hope to see you in game.
If I developed an mmo with levels (which I wouldn't because levels are pointless), I'd give diminishing returns for XP gained within a certain period of time, and watch hardcores go crazy with 24/7 leveling, killing themselves to stay slightly ahead of the curve for weeks.
OK Carbine, time to add the 1 year of content you claim to have already.
Did they really say that?
After 10s of themepark games realizing after launch that their estimates of the time needed for leveling was utter nonsense and based on their own clumsy way of playing you would expect that they learn a thing. But for some weird twist of fate it never happens.

So you say that, because MMOs have serious design flaws everybody should restrain themselves and play in the one and only correct (tm) way?
Why would anyone want to read the generic lore (which was anyways published to death in the pre launch hype) or the even more generic and in parts outright badly written quests? Especially when you already know them from beta?

It really is a shame that people think this is an Accomplishment in an MMO when it is neither ...
Really to bad what gamers today except as quality , but is the result of the Red-Bull chuggin , Hot Pocket eatin , console generation invading the MMO genre ..

I got to max level in FFXIV in under a week. Fate grinding trivialized the leveling process immensely.
I just did the main storyline and fates from 44-50. Needed to do storyline in order to do primals, raid and have retainers for storage, ect.
Yeah, the story was fast (under a week). What I remember most about the story was the incredible amount of teleporting/walking back and forth that was required. When I played, the sub jobs could be leveled up extremely fast through grinding fates. Once the story is over, it's over. There really isn't anything different about the game that makes leveling very hard or very time consuming. If anything I came away thinking that the pace was pretty typical for most MMORPGs.
Didnt you guys see what happened to those people playing Diablo 3 for three days straight, they died! I hope this guy got medical aid after this play session.

This has nothing to do with amount of content available, and everything to do with amounts of xp gain, and paths of least resistance. IF they took the time to do all content, they certainly wouldn't be 50 yet.

This is ridiculous, people race for a first title in every MMO that offers one and it doesn't mean those people are quitting or bored or anything of the sort. These 2 guys are from the guild Eugenic, and they are going to be competing against the other raiding guilds, so there is much more they and the entire guild need to do to prepare for that.
A small group of people competing for world firsts does not equal the entire playerbase of the game, it doesn't matter how much content you put in, their goal is the raids, so they would cram through any leveling content anyway.
I havent been following this game to much but isnt it its headstart? So there max lvl and thats it, done before launch? I guess you could go back and start crafting or something.. I guess i dont get it, could even 1 quest have been read?
Grats though
not to claim Id know what is most effective for leveling, but doubt they did quests, it is rare people power level on quests in MMOs Ive played atleast.

1+ month since they said it was in pre-production.

They may have hit 50, but they are no where near the end.
I honestly have no idea how they did it, I thought I have been playing a lot and am only level 14 haha.
