I subscribe to both games so it's a tricky one. But lotro wins out for me because it's the underdog, and because it's such a massive game.

The Secret World all the way. Though I don't play anymore it really can't be beaten. Surprised so many and a true testament to what can actually be done in a stale game space such as MMORPGs

We should've gotten one poll for worst MMO of 2014. I am pretty sure which one I am going vote for that one - very farmville heavy MMO...

Voted for ESO...I've just been playing it recently, but it's enjoyable, different enough, and nicely polished.

 

Voted for EVE...even though I don't truly enjoy it myself, I see the appeal and can't wait for a game to come along that is EVE with avatars and a world to explore.

voted ESO and Eve.  LOTR is great, but ESO is just more modern and has a brighter future.  Eve was a no brainer, 10 years of continually evolving content and one of the few working sandboxes out there and should get respect for sticking to their design guns and not watering down their design to get big bucks.

Games that require mature audience. Like a glass of five whiskey. They are not to be swaloved by teen kids on a cheap party. But enjoyed with taste that is acquired with time and experience. Deabated after a fine meal with selected company.

ESO and TSW...simply, i think they're the best here.

ESO has the best development i've ever seen since early WoW, TSW is just too original to be ignored. EVE is cool but i don't like sci-fi.

Do you have a screen shot of that accusation? I log in to ESO every day and I never saw anything like that. The only thing I've seen from the staff is a forum moderator on one thread pop in to say great job.

I have a lifetime sub to Lotro but I am currently playing ESO and so I voted that way.  Usually I would vote for Lotro, but I'm seeing the developers of ESO doing great things and changing the game, not letting it mire in what "they" think it should be no matter what the community says.

I voted for TSW too here, but only because Eve pisses me off to no end.  Great game IDEA and lore and atmosphere, but actual gameplay is HORRIBLE.  TSW has everything great except COMBAT and unlike ESO and Lotro above, who both changed or are about to change their combat to appease their players, TSW seems to be stuck in that "we know better than you" mode and won't budge.  Really wish they would because then I would sub to the game the way I'm subbed to ESO right now and would be all about new content.  But combat alone is so boring and tedious and just doesn't feel right and literally pushes me away from the game. 

So anyway, for ESO comes out on top over all and that's a big change from my attitude toward it during it's first 3 months of launch.  Really enjoying the game now and can't wait for the changes and additional content coming our way in the next year.

Ye. I just don't see why second rate games like ESO trying to milk players get in a competition with games that have been around and have proven some resilience.

Lifetime sub for LOTRO but had to vote ESO, it's just more enjoyable to me. Both have great atmospheres, but the combat sets them apart.

TSW over EVE, but very close
