So... how do you feel about the switch to B2P?

Personally I can't wait to start testing 1.6 in the PTS server. That's the announcement I'm waiting for.

But how do you guys feel about the switch?

I could care less, I will continue to enjoy the game regardless.

So pumped for this! Feels like I'm recouping my initial investment.

And props to DMkano and all the others who called this.

Wow.  Very interesting news.  I'll probably still sub to the game (I'm guessing the points awarded will work something like SWTOR's cartel coins).  But if this gives the game a broader audience, I'm all for it.  It's a great game and the more people that can enjoy it, the better.

Very well said and I agree, the more people playing the game the better. Someone with a positive opinion and not a "I told you so" statement.

On a side note: 1000 posts and it only took me 10 years and 4 months lol.

I like the idea, just like GW2 or TSW. Not to much to talk about or discuss until it happens though.

Agreed.  I'm actually so excited I'm thinking of starting up my sub again today.

Been keeping an eye on this game the last few weeks and seeing what they've done since it's release and have planned for the future really had me excited and I was so tempted to give it another go. Still, my inner cynic was thinking that maybe these updates were only going to last until the console version comes out and then they'll downsize.  Now B2P doesn't necessarily mean things will change in the short term but it's hardly encouraging in my eyes.  Hopefully things will work out but I don't see the game doing well on consoles anyway, anyone who buys it expecting an Elder Scrolls game is going to be in for a shock.

Doesn't read like there is any benefit to doing a 30 vs 90 or 180.

I just renewed mine a month ago and have no plans on changing that as these benefits sound great to me also.  :)

I really wish they would allow cross platforms to play together.  From my understanding, the console and PC players will be segregated, correct?

No, you can just believe it or not but asking for proof gets annoying. Especially knowing that he probably cannot say who his sources are since they most likely aren't allowed to talk about intern stuff.

Yes they will be on separate servers for all platforms. I wish this wasn't so also as I would have at least two people in my own household who would play together :(

Annoying for who?  You?  Stop reading the comments if they annoy you.  Unsubstantiated rumors are still against this board's TOS.

Hating the 10% bonuses with sub, but glad it isn't F2P.

I'd actually been considering playing lately but bought another game instead. I'm glad I didn't renew and jump back in. Not necessarily because I never will, but because there's no reason to do it now rather than a couple months from now.

  • SiugSiug Member UncommonPosts: 1,257
Well it's better than F2P and at least Zenimax won't remove my skill bar like BW did in SWTOR. Those 10% bonuses are crap though.
