I never commented on asking you to change your mind. Sticking to your vision is fine and even admirable. Telling people to f**k of is entirely different.
Our world, our way. How we choose to deal with naysayers is our choice, not yours.
End of story as far as we're concerned. You are, of course, free to debate and disagree, but it's not going to change our viewpoints.
Now if you want to talk about the game, let's roll, but if all you want to debate is our viewpoint on naysayers, I've pretty much said all I need to said in the oft-quoted blog post ya''ll keep mentioning
It's a general comment and very telling, not on how you deal with naysayers, but on how you will be dealing with the community in general.
People, yes even paying people, want to know they are being heard and treated fairly and yes respectfully, whether their issue can be resolved to their satisfaction or not. If you can't treat people with respect when they are debating whether to purchase your game, how are you going to treat the customer when they actually have a problem, let alone a problem with a dev/csr/gm...
Products are sold by people. Good and bad products. A person that treats people well goes along way in selling a product, often more than a good product.
There is a lot to be learned from the people that left your community. Surrounding yourself only with the people that are in agreement has led to many many dev downfalls.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is bad.

In your opinion. Which you are welcome to have. Meanwhile, we'll let our existing community members speak for themselves. They're pretty happy with us, and our viewpoints Also, it would give you an objective viewpoint of how satisfied our existing community is.
There's simply not enough info about this project to form any conclusion at all. They should've stayed underground til they had something substantial to offer. Now expectations will rise far beyond their budget.
Expectations are the same as they have been since the beginning, and will remain the same regardless if we have 5k, 10k, or 50k subscribers. We aren't developing based off an operational budget since we're all employed while building our game. Instead, we get to develop the mechanics we want, no holds barred.
If you don't think there's enough there so far to form a conclusion, don't. No one's forcing you
Or if you want more info, head over to to our new forums and ask around our existing community. They're pretty happy with what exists so far, and can give you an idea of where we've come from since the beginning.

Paying customers are a completely different story, as previously mentioned. But even then, don't make the mistake of thinking that the customer is always right. That's entitlement brainwashing getting to your head. Complaints and problems are dealt with according to the law and federal regulations, not according to entitled desires.
We don't need to debate with someone as to whether or not they want to purchase our game. If they can't make a decision based off existing data, so be it.
So far, we don't have anyone leaving our community. But I'll let them speak for themselves. You can head over to our new forums and ask around and get a feel for whether or not our community is happy with us, including their opinions on Our World, Our Way
Yeah, I looked at that. I didn't see any. That's why I asked.
Everything you need to know can be found there. If you can't make a decision based on data presented at the website, then don't make a decision. It's that simple. Meanwhile, we've got upcoming streams four nights a week from various team members, new videos and screenshots coming out every week, and Early Access kicks off just around the corner. Feel free to make an opinion later on down the road...or not. Your call.
(P.S. yes, we've clearly bought all of our social media followers and community members. That's how we've gotten this far, by lying our asses off.)
(P.P.S. Try traveling the world for a living and streaming when you are in the back woods of Palenque, Mexico or Costa Brava, Spain, with less than 1/4 mb upload speeds and see how your videos turn out).
And lets face it. At this stage of the development game, people are buying into what you are telling them. It is almost entirely about dev trust.
Actually, nope. We've had early pre-orders in the pre-alpha for the past six months doing text weekends from time to time. Not a lot, mind you, but a few. We are where we are today based on them sharing our information out there on the internet, and winding up on places like these forums.
Meanwhile, we're moving to alpha from pre-alpha here in the next few weeks, and we'll be getting our entire Indiegogo crew in, and opening up the full Early Access program.
We've gotten where we are today based on hard work and our existing community members being happy with what we're providing them. But don't take my word for it...ask them. You've got the links to our forums.

You've been straight forward with your answers to all questions. This question didn't get an answer though. Is this something you would rather not talk about at this time? Would I be correct in drawing the conclusion that no one on your team has game development experience based on no experience has been cited?
I've got a coder meeting tomorrow morning, then the rest of Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I'm prepping for a new client here in Cancun that I'm meeting with on Tuesday, plus we've got some Airbnb guests cycling through, and I've got some prep for our Saturday night roleplay sessions to get done + some other work.
Long story short, I may not be able to check in here for a few days. I'm sure the conversations will continue without me; I'll reply as I find time somewhere in the middle of next week.
In the meantime, folks can stay up to to date with what our team is working on over at our game forums, linked a couple of times in this thread. See you there!
Ah so the couchsurfing and myspace links were for you (not posted here just seen on a search).
And yes I am looking for stuff from you. I like to know that any game I put money down is being developed by people who know what they are doing, hence all the dev questions.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is bad.

The main message on the website seems to be "fuck off" gamers.
Why go back to only sandbox or only themepark? Dark Age of Camelot was both. And it was more fun than games that are only hot or only cold especially the ones that are lukewarm now like World of warcraft. Dark Age of Camelot was both very hot and very cold, you could do either and it was fantastic. There was no half and half nonsense that the devs are playing the players now with. Wake up you're all getting played, players. Don't let the dragon keep you deceived any longer.
One of these days God will save us from this and give us a real mmorpg again.
No more watered down classes that all are the same. No more lies that group content is unpreferable to solo content like from swtor. And ability to do both and enjoy either content. Slow as glacier leveling but not eternal slow. Fifty bagillion classes. Go anywhere. Go where the quest says. Go nowhere. Magical gear is not super common that does nothing like in wow. You are lucky to find a grey. Money is super hard too get in pennies at first.
Of course the real defeat of the dragon is to quit playing the mmorpg entirely but who can do that once you are addicted? That is why I need Jesus. He beats the dragon for me.
Once I grew up playing WoW I realized as an adult that we are all in this together as gamers and I saw the divide that the game companies were putting on us. Some of us lost our lives to these games, and they still call hardcores that spend their lives playing for not joining a guild of super nerds that can defeat the dragon casuals, and they still divide the players when there used to not be one. Who can be the perfect super nerd that the game devs demand? It is ridiculous. It is a game that they play with lives but they are not the super nerd either. It is not lawful what they are doing. It shows no one has defeated the dragon yet but the first ones to have accepted only God can and that took place during Dark Age of Camelot where casuals, hardcores, sandboxers, themeparkers all downned their dragon not by their strength but by God's.
The blank world looks good enough but there is really no information on the game at all? I saw a title says meaning of grouping,i love any game that focuses on grouping.
What exactly is this game suppose to be doing?linear questing?levels or not , shivalry or magic?Crafting, mounts?
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
