Arenanet didn't said there was a bug.
Arenanet said there was a setting causing some problems.

Doesn't matter what you call it. To the user it is the same thing.

The thread has been a riot though as people were trying their best to say “it is not an issue” without saying “anet is lying”. Which you can tell by the posts, it logically doesn't work.

It shows what PvP games are really all about, and no, it's not about more realism and immersion. It's about cowards hiding behind a screen to they can bully other defenseless players without any risk of direct retaliation like there would be if they acted like asshats in "real life". -Jean-Luc_Picard

Either I misunderstood your post or you misunderstood mine. I am not claiming the servers are empty or the population is in decline.

I am saying these screenshots prove nothing.
I'm not claiming that the servers are full and the population is growing.
I'm just posting screenshots about by own gameplay experience.
I guess we can't use "Screenshot or it didn't happen"  on these forums anymore since they don't prove anything ... ;)
    What did they prove?
According to those screenshots, how full are the maps?
    How many players?
    5612151 active players

    Now...prove otherwise

And you just outed this as a troll bait thread.
The reviews are based on the buggy instances - before the fix was applied but you completely ignore that and try to defame us as whiteknights.

If anything I have shown in the past that I will call out on Anet when they fuck up but this here is nothing but player mentality now.

But obviously things like this are nice cannon fodder for haters.

What happened to their claims of not being another instance GW1 game? They reverted back almost instantly after it released.Easier to design, easier on the game,so basically a cop out on effort.

Sometimes you bring up some really good critical points but comparing the instance system of GW1 with how GW2 works shows that you have no idea and you never bothered to look up the difference.

At the time of review the bug was there and the reviews reflect that. Not sure i buy the whole “it is fixed now so change the review” mentality.

GW2's "instancing" is nothing like GW1's. What are you talking about?

GW2 simply groups players from different servers onto the same map, then creates a new copy of the map when the population becomes too high, allowing you to switch between copies provided they aren't full. Instead of there being one copy of each map on each server, as well as an "overflow" map for extra people, they removed the server boundaries.

GW1 would do this in outposts and cities, but the second you left them, you'd hit an instance where you could only play with up to 7 other people who were in your party.

As mentioned above, they're nothing alike...

GW2 HoT maps are big and 3D. You might see no one and high above there are 50 people fighting a wyvern.

GW2 HoT maps actually encourage grouping gameplay, so you might see people using LFG and join to taxi ppl to some instances of the map.

Probably Aney should spawn less copies of each map and slightly increase each map cap.

OP let me tell you why you're ignorant.

    1) when people debate, the claimer brings up the source. The negative position doesn't have to.

What you did: You made this topic to tell people how empty the maps due to a "bug" yet you pulled up ZERO sources, and instead asked us to do it.

    2) debaters take things word for word and follow updates.

What you did: refuse to talk about updates and kept insinuating that it was a bug. They're not the same.
you also kept saying people think they know more than Anet does when they try to say it isn't empty. That is called a straw man.

    3) debaters use truth tables as a logical to organize and support their arguments and if any of you know what a truth table is or how to use one then you'll know that the IGN take already disproved itself.

What you did: "maybe you got lucky" "you should be head programmer." "You know more than Anet?" "A setting is a bug"
    "source?"

Pretty much all you did was not talk about the topic and then construct a bunch of straw men.

In conclusion: most of you, not all, that side with OP aren't here to discuss. You're just here to usurp the idea that HOT is empty because you all are haters. Keep on hating.

Go to logic class because we don't have time to teach you.
    Ad Hom  = lost argument.
Truth is, you don't have the answer that proves anything more than a few dozen people. It's not logic. It's a simple picture and the one you painted just isn't there.

LOLOL did you go to a dictionary and look that up? If not then tell me why argument you have?

Logic and philosophy 101 - if you have a claim, prove it. Well "bro" I don't have a claim.

    OK.

All you are doing is deflecting from the FACT that you can't prove what you implied.
I am not the one who made the claim, you are. You are the one who presented a screenshot of a few dozen players and tried to imply that this is how all the maps are all the time. But the screenshots are only a sample and it requires an assumption to make that connection. I simply called you out on it and you can't prove it.

    My claim:
There are only a few dozen people in your screenshots....I can prove that by counting the players in your screenshots.

    Your claim:
Maps are full......You didn't prove that.

A screenshot showing a populated event is not the same as the maps being full. If there was nothing else in this thread conflicting with your claim, I would take the screenshot as a good indication that what your are saying is true. However, the screenshots aren't enough to prove the other side of the argument wrong.

Think about it.....What in your picture is undeniable?
That others flew in? No, That's not there
That you were solo? Yes, you are un grouped.
That you were with them for 2 hrs? No. that isn't there. Well, maybe
That there were a few dozen people in that event? Yes....

You have presented a back story to the picture that isn't actually in the picture and then accusing me of not having logic when logic would tell me not to make assumptions about your picture that believing your post would require me to make.

And this time, try to focus on the statements in the post and not on me. My education has nothing to do with winning or losing this argument.

So believing Anet is “hating”. Gotcha.
Anet says things aren't working as they want it to. The amount of attacks on me or posting screenshots of how it doesn't happen to you therefore the issue doesn't exist, doesn't logically work unless you want to say Anet is lying or incompetent.

I've been able to complete the content I wanted.  If no one was there to help with hero points after a wait a group or one or two extra players have always showed up to help and this is without asking in chat.  I just clear out my inventory and sell stuff on the AH until someone shows up to help.  Maxed out elite traits on nine characters this way.

GW2 is the kind of game where if you link the waypoint in map chat and say what's happening near it.. tons of people will show up to help. Try it:

That's my argument really? I don't ever recall making a claim.

OP made a claim and fail to prove it and my SS serves as further support that the zones are not "empty" as IGN said.

Original claim still has not been proven so technically we as the negative position don't have to do anything.

you seriously failed to see that? Ok.
