"Alpha Patch 2.3.0a has been released to the PTU,
and is now available for players to test! This patch provides access to
our new flyable Khartu-al, the hangar-ready Starfarer (and a
corresponding hangar bay it can fit in), as well as two new FPS weapons, new components, updates to FPS animations and EVA, as well as numerous fixes across the game. During this initial testing phase, PTU access will be restricted to a small group of players that we will expand on over time as required."
"Important Callouts:
PTU players in this initial test will
have access to the Khartu-al in AC and Crusader, and the Starfarer (if
you have the Revel & York hangar on your account).
There are
still some known issues with the Starfarer Tanker appearing in the
wrong hangar bar or not at all, for those who have the Starfarer Gemini.
There is a known issue with the Khartu-al having visual effect issues with thruster/engine smoke.

If the Khartu-al was just added to the game in its fly able form then why include that section of patch notes? Backers haven't flown it before so there is no reason to tell them you fixed things that were wrong with it unless you are looking to pad your patch notes out.
The Covalex PI mission now rewards the Devestator-12 Shotgun.
The assault rifle previously available at the end of the PI mission is now available on Kareah, alongside the P4-AR.
The Arrowhead sniper rifle is now available as the reward for killing a Level 5 Wanted Criminal.

Fixed a crash that would occur when sitting in the 350r pilot seat."
We ran into an issue on the PTU this evening
where Pirate AI is spawning in mass quantities(500+ - Wowzers!) which is
causing a major performance hit. We are fully aware of the issue and
looking into it! Arena Commander focus testing would be much appreciated
while we investigate a potential fix.
I tried out the recent build, having never checked it out. I am going to let it sit a LOT longer before I try to "enjoy" it.
I went into an elevator and some guy was coming out. I had accessed the terminal and he pushed me away. . I couldn't move because it still wanted me to select a floor/area. Had to restart. Alpha for this game is not for me.
The thing that actually bothered me the most was the ship "jiggling" when I was inside the cockpit. Also the tutorial. . the missiles would always explode before they got near the target.
It is just too buggy for me at this point. If you want to see the new ships and look around in them that is super cool and immersive. If you want to "play" hold out. I might fire it up again to look at some other ships to get an idea for what the game might offer that way.
I still wish they had gone for simpler and done that well. I would have taken Freelancer 2 and could care less about having a FPS component. Maybe they should have built the space game. . then done the FPS as an expansion later. Just my initial thoughts.
Its looking good. It also looks like they scrapped the idea of complete character model reworks. That looks like polishing to me and looks pretty good.
Directly from the video: - Everyone agrees on 3 things about star Citizen
1. It is terrible 2. It will never come out
So.....
Since when are 'a few deleted posts' (your comment) the same as 'Everyone' (video)?
Really, you guys constantly making shit up and flat out lying has got to stop.
So... someone makes a video and uses a blanket statement like "everyone hates boobies" and that means people who post here about having concerns about the game are flat out lying?
The guys said everyone agrees on 3 things...that is a lie because there are many that disagree, myself included.
happy to discuss each statement on their own merits if you want but this is not an isolated lie.
Fixed an issue causing the mass AI spawn issue in Crusader.
Fixed an issue where the M50 Interceptor, Vanduul Glaive, Mustang (All variants) and Origin 315p would not refuel Quantum fuel when visiting Cry-Astro station.
Fixed an issue where most ship HUDs would not update to show quantum fuel had been refueled until after another Quantum Travel had been engaged.
Fixed an issue where the Freelancer missiles would not restock at Cry-Astro if a wing had to be repaired.
