As the more unstable builds continue getting sorted, the live release is deff close, with it we are likely to see the Evocati engage into testing 3.3.5 with Hurston.
The starmap got a good amount of polish and is far more functional now:
The truck stops got an improvement pass on the last PTU update:
The current scanning mechanic on the PTU is working with multi-crew, it's being able to show the player names inside a multi-crew ship and some other details:
Aside from that, the PTU might get the full VOIP enabled on today's update.
The pushes continue to cut dozens of possible client and server crashes every few days. The near completion of Hurston as well its ETF phase likely to start right after 3.3 Live.
The ship shop functionality has been enabled on the shop yesterday's patch added to Levski, funds have been given for PTU testing backers to test the buying ships functionality.
Patch 3.3 has now been released: -Virgil TrueDef Pro Armor was delayed to 3.3.5 -Some Object Container Streaming relelated tasks won't be coming until 3.3.5, but it looks like most of the Object Container Streaming is now releaed
Patch 3.3.5 is still scheduled for Mid Q4, and it'll include Hurston and its moons
Patch 3.4 is still scheduled for Q4, but it's been gutted so that RSI could have a chance to release it in time -Playable Female Characters delayed to 3.5 -ArcCorp and its moons delayed to 3.5 -All new AI stuff delayed to 3.5 -Origin 300i/315p/325a/350R reworks have been delayed to 3.5 -Gas Cloud Tech, Projective Manager and Hard Surface Shader Improvements have been delayed to 3.5 -FPS Ping & Scanning has been removed from roadmap
In 3.4 we'll get: -Lorville Business District -Ship Item Rental -New ships: Anvil Hawk, Origin 600 Touring, Freelancer MAX, DUR and MIS -Reliant Kore rework -One new questgiver, 1 new armor, 1 new FPS weapon and 1 new ship weapon -Improvements to: Patrol Missions, VoIP & FoIP, Player Interaction with Objects, Mining, Scramble Races, Retrieval & Delivery Missions, Quantum Travel, Smoother Locomotion for Combat AI, Video Comm, Procedural City Rendering Performance, and Performance
Basically RSI is now trying to get all the 3.3.0 content out in 3.3.5, then make 3.4 a polish patch for 3.3.5.
Alpha 3.3.5 has been released into Evocati, the first planet Hurston and its city is finally rolling out. Patch notes: https://pastebin.com/fCviZ7cK
Alpha 3.3 has been released to live. This includes the new ships with the first capital ship, FOIP and VOIP, new chat system, new grouping system, the Truckstops, the in-game ship buying shop, the new mission giver, Asteroid Mining, the new Mission type "Scramble Races", the FPS AI within missions, the ship rental system for arena commander, big performance improvements due to OCS and many other bits.
This shows publicly all the FPS data based on different hardware configurations of the people playing the game, once you do play the game now you'll get your own stats pinpointed into the averages.
We can already see the boost from 3.2 to 3.3 average performance:
It's quite one interesting tool to both being able to know what to expect from your hardware, and how it improves as game develops
We can already see the boost from 3.2 to 3.3 average performance:
I think right now that data is heavily skewed towards faster computers. People with slower computers tend to take a bit more time before they get the patch installed and actually play it.
We should wait a couple of days until everyone has installed and is playing.

The % will adapt itself, the hardware GPU/CPU combination averages are the solid bits of info, it sheds a lot of clarity on what performance to expect from your hardware at any given point, something the minimum/recommended reqs on games don't really help much.
But 3.3 is quite smooth, to me easy SC's best update to date and 3.3.5 already on testing, things be gud.
- The planet Hurston, its city and its moons are in. - Multitools work. - HAB Spawning work. - Trains work. - Shops work. - Elevators are mostly good. - Mission giver works (with audio issues). - Bartender NPC works, drinks, coffee maker, etc... working. - No-Fly zones work.
the very top view, that tower is ridiculously big coming down from space
More biome bits
More biome bits
Another of its moons
More biome bits
More hurston moons
And another one
Hurston itself
The very first bits of water (aka instant-kill placeholders)
Coast biome (also hurston)
New armor bits
And the new player habs (that will end up as customizable player-housing)
The update is on a decent shape on this first test build for ETF standards, brings multiple first implementations to the game now that OCS is capable to cope with it; the extra time OCS required did force a scope reduction of 3.4 in Dec, to instead focus on improving what's already there.
Well Thursday is Thanksgiving in the US - although not in Germany or the UK. (Ran into a lot of folks in the US who thought it was a worldwide holiday!) So I think this weeks goal will be to get 3.3.5 to alpha. Mid-November has been and gone.
Which will finally draw the line under 3.3.
Late and they deviated from their plan for quarterly drops - should they have stuck with that? - either way its water under the bridge now.
The short term focus going forward should be to push out a "3.4" at the end of the year. However small. Just to get things back on track. So something to Evocati before Dec 10th?
Updated thread, as 3.3.5 has released the roadmap scope is now within 3.4 this December and the 3.6 update.
3.4 is focusing on improving what's already there, Missions, FOIP, Mining, Interactions, Quantum Travel, Video Comms and OCS. On content aside of new weapons, ships and armor, there's Lorville Bussiness District (the massive tower) and a new mission giver.

3.3 still with some tasks on Turrets, OCS and Performance to be considered feature-complete and in polish.
