1. What's the penatly for dying? Where do you go after you die?
2. Can you carry around multiple sets of clothes or do you have to re-create each set from scratch whenever you want to dress differently? For example, could you have both a guild uniform and a normal outfit and switch back and forth when you want?
Any idea on what the time frame is looking like for hiring customer service GM's? I cannot stress how much I would LOVE to run some storylines, or even make some up on the fly, or hell, even play a quirky event merchant.
To what degree, if all, will GMs be involved in actively "administring" live events? Will they just click start or will they be controlling every step?
Will GMs be likely to be giving custom guilds their own bonuses? Like make worshippers of a player-created snake cult faster or more agile? Will this happen at all?
Let's assume that a GM is playing a normal character. Will he have GM powers even if he's a normal char just because he uses the GM engine/account? And how can you tell a GM from the rest of the players in-game?
How in the hell do you plan to release the game in 4-6 months when you havent even started initial closed beta testing? Are you freakin kidding me? A game should have at least, at LEAST 5-6 months of closed beta testing followed by several more months of open beta testing.
Goddamnit.. PLEASE simu for the love of god do NOT rush this game to please publishers and whatnot.

1) I do not believe this has been answered by anyone at the office yet. Which means, I can't spill the beans. IMHO, death without sometype of penalty, isn't "death". It becomes a quick way to teleport.
2) Yes, you will be able to have different outfits which you can change into.

Heh, no word yet on my end. ( I'm a dev GM myself). Once the word is given myself or one other GM/Producer will be sure to post here.

1) Events always vary in the amount of involvment that GM's have to involved. It's all about how deep the GM wants to go into it. So the real answer is, it will vary on a large scale. Some could be simple click and runs, others could be a very deep story arc which takes days.
2) Hrm... this one I can't say for sure yet.
3) This is also one I can not answer... but I can say this. My GM character and my "playing" characfter are two different beasts for Dragonrealms. With my player character having ZERO abilities at all. Nadda... nothing. He dies just like everyone else and has to take the ferry...etc..etc.
And currently, it says "GM" next to our names (subject to change)

Don't be discouraged! If you saw the updates that I get "each day", you'de be stunned. Everyone is working hard.
I have another question, and a suggestion (I hope you don't mind all these questions):
When will we learn more about the classes? For example, what is the difference between a Cleric and a Healer? Is a Cleric a mix of healing, buffing, and holy attacks, while a Healer is a hardcore healing specialist? Or is a Cleric just a form of holy mage with no more healing abilities than the average caster?
My suggestion regards player collision, like Eric discussed in one of the Q&As. Instead of having players ghost or teleport through each other, how about making it so that when players try walk through each other, they sort of swivel sideways to squeeze past (like pushing through a crowd in real life)? That way, they can get past each other, but it would still look realistic. Or would that use up too much bandwidth?

1) I don't mind at all.
2) That is up to the gang at the office as to when to release exact details about the classes. Keep a look out here for the interviews.
3) I don't think it would be a bandwidth issue. Nice thought.
Will there be skills that will be available to certain multiclasses only? An example: A Rogue/Warrior (let's call him Swashbuckler) might have the skill Swashbuckling that is not available to the Rogue class or Warrior class if mixed with other classes.
And another one: If a Rogue/Warrior is called Swashbuckler, will Warrior/Rogue have another class name (as the main class is different)? Or is it enough to be a mix of those two classes to call yourself a Swashbuckler?

I imagine you'll be whatever you want to call yourself. As in guild wars, I think that the combination of classes just lets you draw from either. If they were making names for all the mixtures, and special abilities for certain combos only, then you've efffectively just made another class, and it wouldn't be the same thing.
Here's my next question: When can we expect the website to be updated more often? I keep checking the website, but it has the most limited amount of information on the game on the web. It should be the otherway around! And can we PLEASE get an offical demo of something like what was shown at E3? Why, i'll make one myself if I can get access to the game

1) This has not been released from the onsites yet, so I can't reply on it. Keep in mind though that questions like this may come up in one of the Q&A sessions for the game here on www.mmorpg.com

If I'm not mistaken... they are working on a "complete" overhaul of our website, hence the lack of updates. So hang in there.
Well, I applied about six days ago, and I keep trying to distract myself from checking my email (Down to every other day) and I'm keeping my hopes down as much as possible, but I REALLY wish they'd at least email me saying something! I'm just about done with my job, and I know that being home all the time it will bother me to no end..
I don't know how long they usually take to respond to an application, so I'm shutting my hopes off.
I am going to be so massively bored with nothing to do all day long!
Maybe I'll take all my money and re-open my old DR account.. and put Diviana back on it.. She's open right now and I haven't played her more than a few hours.. I think there's about a week left before that account closes again.
At this point I can't recall which type of GM I applied for. Even after reviewing the confirmation email, which contains a copy of my application, I can't decipher which position it was for. World GM is my first choice, especially after years of mudlib development. Although, I would also enjoy being a customer service GM and deal with the player base more directly. (They need to make it so we can apply to be a CS GM!)

Hang in there Div. I'm the extreme case of being hired. It took me 9 months from the day I applied until I got behind the iron curtain. (That was in 1998/1999)
And as for DR, even I find time to venture back there from time to time.

1. What is your GM role? Are you CS, World Builder...
2. If someone applies to be a GM and does HORRIBLE on a section of the application. ie. Describe an hour of play in HJ, will this hurt their chances of being considered. This leads to my third question.
3. Should people submit multiple applications, and likewise should we resubmit an application if our knowledge of the game has increased there by improving the quality of our answers?
"Our Customer Experience GameMasters handle most customer interaction, and serve as a direct link between Simutronics and our player community. This interaction ranges from answering questions about technical issues and basic gameplay, to running in-game events or storylines. Some Customer Experience GMs also monitor the public message boards, perform liaison duties between the players and the Development team, and handle many types of player concerns and feedback.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with a strong background in MMORPGs who is passionate about online games. You should be organized, with excellent communication and customer service skills. Entry level positions are volunteer only, with chance of payment when the game goes live. "
Thats their description of the CS GM tasks. Looks and aweful lot like EQ "Guides."
