I would like to know how big part of WoW haters are the ex-WoW-ers who hit 60 and then bounced off that with a nasty ring in their ears and a headache to remember?

When it first came out, I couldn't get it to work.  I kept getting error=0.  Or some other very popular error at that time.

I spoke with Blizzard and many people, all saying the issue was having an overclocked CPU/PC.  Which mine isn't.  They suggest I should underclock my CPU so I could get the game to work,  I tried setting my AMD 3200+ to 166Mhz, and for some odd reason, the game worked, but as soon as I would set it to the default 200Mhz, the game wouldn't work... and ONLY THIS GAME.

So there was no reason for me to UNDERCLOCK a perfectly working computer just to play one game.  So from that day forth I told myself I'd never play another Blizzard game ever.

Who the hell tells you to underclock your computer to get a game to work?  If they actually wrote code that worked, maybe that would be another story.

I am usually quite critical with WoW but I do not hate it at all and I understand some people (or even lot of people may like it) . The things i didnt like at all were:

1.- Is is very easy and fast to level up and once you top you almost have nothing to do but boreing around.

2.- the community is quite immature (with lots of exceptions I bet)  but I saw a game child oriented, and thats not for me any more

3.- the tradeskill sucks. It is so so so so so simple and undeveloped they could just remove it and nobody will miss it

    4.- PVP is very unbalanced.

5.- There are few quests to do.

6.- And the most exasperating thing. You spend hours just waining on the line to be able to enter a server or a battleground. So you have to log in in the morning to have one chance to play in the afternoon.

    Easiest explanation:

    1. Haters are more vocal and so they tend to post more about why they dislike the game than do people who are too busy enjoying the game.

    2. People who like the game are too busy queuing up for battlegrounds.

I'll answer this question but you have to understand some things first. I started playing WoW about the time it came out. However im an RPGer and got caught up in the lore. However when I got to 60 that is when my problems really begin.

See its fun getting to 60 and not very hard either. However once you get to 60 every thing else becomes a job. The game allowed me to pretty much solo from 1-60. However as I stated at 60 the game becomes a job. You spend hours on end in instance trying to get high end gear just so you can repeat the process in raids for even better high end gear. PVP is a joke cause you spend all your time waiting in line just to get in to PVP to do PVP.

There is no high end content in WoW. WoW sucks you in to going after gear. Now once you been playing WoW long enough you begin to realize one thing, WoW is a carbon copy of EQ. The game focus so much around the gear that its not even funny.

Players will ninja gear, call each other names and disprespect one another all in the name of the Higher End gear. Case in point, these two people were going in to this Instance which too need to do to get some boots that dropped there. When asked to go the person asked me if I was after the boots and I said yea. Then they said "No, we don't want you" when I asked why they pretty much said cause I was after the same thing they were. They all but slammed the door in my face and when I told them I would have come to help had they gave me the option even if I didn't get the boots, I have no problems with helping people. I ended the conversation.

A few weeks later I had a guy call me every name in the book when the mob he was fighting was close to killing him and I stepped in and help finish the mob off. I could let him die but I choose to take the time to help him and he got mad.

The game is designed around loot and thus leads people to greed and thus leads to lots of problems. I hate wow simple cause it stops being fun when people are willing to step all over each other for loot. I hate wow simple cause it stops being fun when the entire High End content focus around Loot.

I hate WoW cause it is a carbon copy of EQ.

    exact my opinion too
i  was there until they build in the honor system
from there on it was a field for CS-kiddies and as L54 u was wipe out 100 times a day by  L 60*s and so unable to fulfill any further quests and my guildfellows was to busy to care for a "little" 54 char, who loved to life, strife and questing instead run in some boss-mob grinding orgies

I don't hate it, but I think it is quite playable. I like the perhaps casual way it has done things and it's pvp can sometimes be a bit of fun but I'm not very keen on it's certain design philosphies for example I think the game isn't very social compared to some of the other mmorpgs around, and that it is quite happy to have completely unbalanced battlegrounds through twinks, through people spending a lot of time on the bgs or raiding.

since it is the mxdonalds of the mmorpg.. we all know what mcdonalds can do to you dont we??? it makes you fat and think that its the best fast food around when all it does is slowly killing yourself.

poor WoW players.. dont know what theyre in to.

Hey SOE banned all of my accounts  ( read my blog for details)  and forced me to play WoW ( I warned them but muhahha they did not care)

WoW is a great game and  yes its user friendly but that is why millions are playing and SOE only has about a half a million if that .  Silly SOE , NGE is for Kids.

Reading thru many of your posts I honestly can say i feel pity for whichever game inherits you.You rant constantly and without much point or sense espically about SoE(did they sell your house or what?).And your blog was at best , obsessive behaviour towards a game which is really scary.

Thankfully i left WoW  and i bet there is some celebration in SoE camp and moaning in blizzard at your arrival.

Dare blizzard piss you off i am sure you have another lawsuit going. This are just bloody games you know!

yer i think wow is a good game but can get boring after awhile but it does NOT totally suck. i jus hate the massive lag on full servers and the amount of NE hunters trying to b legolas. but also the game is highly popular a bit because of the hype of blizzards sucessful warcraft prequel game.

I think the reason is because all your doing is doing instances over and over so u can get all the gear u need
and the whole time your playing is so you can lvl up fast enough so you can do highend instances so you can get the best gear so it all feels like a grind and not a comunity realy. No loss in PvP dosent justify PvP and it will get boring eventualy but its still a fun game for a short while.
