Most of the people on gaming boards never respond... they react. It's sometimes hard to find well reasoned people who post thoughtful responses. I'm used to raking through the muck to find the bits that make sense to me, but it does get rather tedious.

You're right and their posts are pointless and meant only to do damage.

Well what "thing"?
mmorpg.com is giving Vanguard special treatment & (is possibly) ignoring their own privacy statement (since we cant know if they share info or not). It is a big deal.
When Egomancer (Mourning) wanted information regarding forum accounts it was "unprofessional" & not acceptable (leading to Mourning getting removed from the gamelist). What makes Vanguard beta so special that they can request account information from mmorpg.com?
Originally posted by Admin Hello All, I want to clear some things up. 1) Enigma's words were not 100% accurate. We have never given information out on NDA violators and would not unless handed a court order from a US-based court system. 2) HOWEVER, if a game company contacts us and shows us NDA violations on our site we will BAN YOUR ACCOUNT if they can provide enough evidence to prove to us that you did this. Your account at MMORPG.com can be revoked at our sole discretion - and we despise those who violate NDA agreements and surely don't want them around here. 3) We have been asked for personal information from developers on MANY occasions and they always get the same response from us "per our Privacy Policy we cannot release any information you cannot obtain through the public side of our site." 4) Violating an NDA or EULA is not a violation of any laws - it is a breach of private contract (enforced by civil courts) - therefore we would not report anything to law agencies unless they request it. So to conclude - we will NOT be forwarding any information to Vanguard (Sigil Games). We will however ban your account/IP if we even think you are posting in violation of an NDA. I hope this helps to clear things up.
I knew cumbom was right and was going to post that mmorpg.com has a duty to it's own member first and foremost before any other company or the governments best interests for that matter.
Ok guys, the original poster's concerns have been met, and this thread is taking a turn toward the flames, so I'm going to lock it up sp we don't have to start issuing warnings.
