WoWs graphics though some say suck i still think are very powerful, WoW proves you dont need EXTREME graphics to get 6 million players. Blizzard is also smart, the reason not many people are trying EQ is because of the computer you need to run EQ2. Blizzard made WoWs graphics so it can allow the poor man to play WoW.
WoWs PVP is getting a major overhaul in 1.12 will make this game even all the better. Is there flaws in WoW of course nothing is perfect. Take example the boring psudo EQ2 raids at level 60. Will blizzard learn from their mistakes with the burning crusade? I believe so look already medivhs tower is 10 man and firehell citadel with magtheradon is a 5 man. With many more to come WoW is the best mmorpg and to bash it is just like bashing final fantasy 7.

Oh deary. You're messing with tigers and lions, little koala boy... The reason why MMORPG are MMO is because playing with other people is MORE FUN. MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE. I don't know about you, but solo-ing mobs alongside 6 million other mob solo-ers doesn't do much for player interaction. I can solo mobs playing friggin' Pokemon (which was actually a great game back in the day). FFXI makes SURE you interact with other players which is the backbone of MMOs. So go ahead and play your "barbies mythical horse adventures" if you don't plan to play a REAL MMORPG.

Do I really have to point out that Final Fantasy 7 had no apeal to it except for the fact that the characters looked cool? The story was so flingy you had no idea what was truely going on expect "something bad is going on". You never got to know anything about the characters. Though the only 2 playable characters that are recluses are Cloud and Vincent, and you even knew more about vincent. You don't know anything about Jenova or Sephiroth. Thats why Final Fantasy 6 and 4 are probably still the best Final Fantasy's to date. Until maybe 12 or 13 comes out. Then again you probably thought FF:AC was the best movie ever cause it had cloud all flying around all "cool". Just cause you say that the game is cool doesn't mean it is. I liked it, but it diffinitly wasn't the best one. FF6 was way more ingrossing and if you don't beleave me play the damn game. Sephiroth doesn't even hold a candle to Kefka. FF6? Hah FFIX was the best FF game to date. Zidane was just such an awesome character period. Cute, heroic, intriguing. I loved him. The cut scenes were amazing, and not to mention the little side stories and quests were actually fun. FFVII was one of the most boring FF games to date But don't feel bad, FFVI was pretty good, it just doesn't add up to IX
The story of Final Fantasy X is actually pretty deep. in fact, Final Fantasy X was the first in the series that made characters have real diffrent cultures. Final Fantasy X's story always had a lot more depth then the other stories,and for the first time each of the main characters had a complete diffrent personality. The plot in Final Fantasy X is VERY deep, especialy considering there are always multiple things going on at the same time. there are just a lot less people who can apreciate that.

Ditto. FFX did have a very deep plot. The only problem most people had with it was the fact that it was more like an interactive movie than a video game. But hey, I personally didn't have much of a problem with it (Although I DO miss playing the bike game at the Golden Saucer). Oh, and since it was the first FF to actually have voice dialogue, a lot of people had a problem with the dubbing (which wasn't all TOO bad. It could've been a LOT worse).

Diablo2 had a wider selection of items. Unreal Tournament has head shots. God of War has fatalaties. Point being? If WOW had improved on the game it was at launch, it would have been the best game in history. Instead, they decided to follow SOE and turn WOW into Everquest 3. Nope, your Wrong. the highest amount of subscribers of Lineage and Lineage 2 (Both seperate) was about 4 million. a While after WoW was released, Both of them went down to 2 million subscribers.

EVE Online is better. FFXI is better. When I got involved in MMORPGs for the first time a little over a year ago, I bought WoW for the PC and FFXI for the PS2. I played WoW because I hadn't run a network cable to my PS2 yet, and it definitely started to draw me in. Then I got my PS2 hooked up and started trying out FFXI, and suddenly I didn't have any time for WoW any more.

Kefka is a BEAST. Kuja is just weird.
But I agree, despite FFVII popularity and FFX deep (and sometimes emo) story, FFVI still has to be my favorite. The music was pretty priceless in it, too. I also played it while I was playing Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana, so the greatness of those two games in my mind kinda seeped over into FFVI.
WoW is like Hanson, sure tons of kids have bought their product, but in a few years when the kids have grown out of it, they wont admit that they were into it.

Iam playing now WoW since the closed beta in europe started and have to say its a very great and fun game if u playing from 1-60, also trying out new chars is alot of fun even if u go through the same content it really doesnt matter.
Then if u are lvl60 and go through the instances to get ur Class Set its also very fun and enjoyable but then u start to raid and after a while its just plain dumb and boring, all u can do is just raid or grind faction thats really all u can do.
And pls dont call the PvP system in WoW real PvP its just another grindfest in the game. I myself was Rank14 (highest PvP Rank in WoW) and its not about fun its just about how much and fast u can grind pugs with ur group.
And 1.12 / Expansion pack wont solve this, Blizzard said they will bring back outdoor PvP LOOOOL (sorry :P), outlands wont be real outdoor PvP yea ok its outside but its just another big BG which plays outside.
Outdoor PvP would mean like having objectives in the big cities like Stormwind / Orgrimmar etc., attacking these and such and not just give u an extra area in the world where u can PvP and call it outdoor PvP, sorry its a joke.
My conclusion:
If u want a great game and have some fun for a few months or like to hardcore raid and do nothing else in a game then WoW is really worth it..
If u want PvP and long term motivation stay away. Seriously i dont get it why I should even bother to get the new phat loots for what ? just so I can get the other new loot and so on ? that makes no sense. If WoW really had a great PvP System, REAL outdoor PvP and more to do than just Raid then it would be a very great game.
Instanced BGs are nice to have for some quick action, its ok but it has no impact to the real world, nothing changes and thats just getting boring. Its like playing UT2004 in a fantasy style.

I dont think so scooter. I hate emo people more than anyone else and to call me emo is like...like....BAD. But I really have played it recently, not quite beaten it, but played a good bit of it this past weekend. I stand my ground. The funny thing is, you moved into bash FFX, which I would say is also a pretty good one. I think they couldve been a little more creative with the storyline...wait nevermind...the ultimate evil force's name being "Sin", you cant really get any more creative.

Because if I were, from now on whoever said that I would stick on a little island with 6 million other people who are forced to wear the same clothes, get the same hair cuts, listen to the same music, watch the same movies, and do the same things with each other everyday (including go to the bathroom to take a dump).

EVE Online is better. FFXI is better. When I got involved in MMORPGs for the first time a little over a year ago, I bought WoW for the PC and FFXI for the PS2. I played WoW because I hadn't run a network cable to my PS2 yet, and it definitely started to draw me in. Then I got my PS2 hooked up and started trying out FFXI, and suddenly I didn't have any time for WoW any more.

In your opinion Eve may be better but not according to reviews or subscribers. The only place Eve is fairing better is on these boards, in the real world WOW is better it on every front.

You know I never played FFIX. I liked the idea they whent for the old school in the design. I did mean to buy it, but didn't have the money at the time.

But I agree, despite FFVII popularity and FFX deep (and sometimes emo) story, FFVI still has to be my favorite. The music was pretty priceless in it, too. I also played it while I was playing Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana, so the greatness of those two games in my mind kinda seeped over into FFVI.
WoW is like Hanson, sure tons of kids have bought their product, but in a few years when the kids have grown out of it, they wont admit that they were into it.
Iam playing now WoW since the closed beta in europe started and have to say its a very great and fun game if u playing from 1-60, also trying out new chars is alot of fun even if u go through the same content it really doesnt matter.
Then if u are lvl60 and go through the instances to get ur Class Set its also very fun and enjoyable but then u start to raid and after a while its just plain dumb and boring, all u can do is just raid or grind faction thats really all u can do.
And pls dont call the PvP system in WoW real PvP its just another grindfest in the game. I myself was Rank14 (highest PvP Rank in WoW) and its not about fun its just about how much and fast u can grind pugs with ur group.
And 1.12 / Expansion pack wont solve this, Blizzard said they will bring back outdoor PvP LOOOOL (sorry :P), outlands wont be real outdoor PvP yea ok its outside but its just another big BG which plays outside.
Outdoor PvP would mean like having objectives in the big cities like Stormwind / Orgrimmar etc., attacking these and such and not just give u an extra area in the world where u can PvP and call it outdoor PvP, sorry its a joke.
My conclusion:
If u want a great game and have some fun for a few months or like to hardcore raid and do nothing else in a game then WoW is really worth it..
If u want PvP and long term motivation stay away. Seriously i dont get it why I should even bother to get the new phat loots for what ? just so I can get the other new loot and so on ? that makes no sense. If WoW really had a great PvP System, REAL outdoor PvP and more to do than just Raid then it would be a very great game.
Instanced BGs are nice to have for some quick action, its ok but it has no impact to the real world, nothing changes and thats just getting boring. Its like playing UT2004 in a fantasy style.

But I really have played it recently, not quite beaten it, but played a good bit of it this past weekend. I stand my ground. The funny thing is, you moved into bash FFX, which I would say is also a pretty good one. I think they couldve been a little more creative with the storyline...wait nevermind...the ultimate evil force's name being "Sin", you cant really get any more creative.
