Why do people whine so much? *applies to both sterotypes*
They're just games, so the carebear looses his weapon and boots in L2...k fight some lower lvl mobs till you can afford to replace it...or cancel account and move on to somthing new.
The pker is mad cuz he isnt allowed to kill someone in w/e game at w/e zone. k...go somewhere were you can or play another game...
Im probably a carebear, back when L2 was first out, i was 20+++ and had to deal with bots, and griefers. Lost some stuff didnt want to have to replace it, so i just canceled account and moved on to somthing else
    Just seems retarded to me...

I think the main problem is when you get killed over....and over....and over.... you get the picture.

But for the most part yoru right, if you dotn like something, move on to soemthing else. Its what I do.

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

Hello, my name is Ichben Einberliner and I am a carebear and proud of it. I like seeing people happy. I like showing people love. What is so wrong with that? Everytime I play my favorite MMORPG my life is peaceful, full of happiness and joy. It makes me feel like the king of the world. Speaking of the world, isn't our world already full of pain and misery? Why do you non carebear types have to have conflict and controversey put in a game to have fun? Where is the logic in that? All it will do is lead to bad behavior and name calling. I do not like it when people call me mean names. It hurts my feelings and when my feelings are hurt it makes me want to cry. Why would you want to make me cry? Where is the pleasure and joy in that?

I wish there was an online game where we can hold hands and talk about our problems. A place where we can talk about anything that is bothering us. A place where we can try to make each other feel special and good about ourselves. Could you imagine the fun we would have? All of us together in a happy world doing happy things with each other. And when its time to have fun we could all have tea parties and pillowfights all night long!! YEAH!!!!

Finally there will be a game where you don't have to be afraid to be yourself. A game to play where a guy like myself, can dress up in woman's clothes and put on makeup without feeling weird and out of place, and have my character do the same. How utterly amazing.

Lately in my life I have been crying a lot and there really hasn't been a lot to smile about. My dad wishes I would act more like a man and wishes I would stop wearing my mother's panties around the house. I tell him they feel comfy and make me happy. I suggest he trying wearing a pair of panties but he bitched slapped me and told me if he wanted to be a faggot he'd play the sims online or SWG. "Do you at least want to try them out" I said. "You know, I do have an extra copy of SWG, if you want to give it a try we can..." Before I could finish he bitch slapped me again and told me he is never going to play SWG....ever, and told me to get the hell out of his face you sorry loser.

This folks is a typical example of a griefer, always putting someone down because they think your style of gameplay(or lifestyle) is weird and dumb. I would not want to play with a person like that, a person that calls you a faggot, a sissy and a female dog on a regular basis.

As you might have guessed, my self-esteem is very low. This is what happens when you give griefers or immature and mean players the freedom to do whatever they want in a game. They will abuse their power to make other people's lives miserable. Is this the kind of environment you want to play and interact in? A game where you are belittled and put down because you are a "fat softy" or a carebear. If you really like this kind of gameplay I really feel sorry for you and I will pray for you. I will pray for all you poor souls.

In the meantime, to spread and promote the well being of carebears like myself, I and my carebear friends, will be creating a carebear foundation called "Carebear Nation." It will be a place where we can work together to ensure that all games are griefer free and full of carebear love and joy. That's why I liked the "hide" feature in UO.  Everyone pretty much learned it because there was that fear of someone walking by and killing you at any given point.  Did it happen? Yes, but most the time people just ran by each other and didn't pay any attention.
So open PvP wasn't that bad.  Of course you're going to have a few people who will PvP anyone they see, but isn't that how it goes anywhere?  Just a few days ago in real life, someone hit 24 people in a car.  That's called life.  Shouldn't be any different in a MMORPG.   PvP should be more open then anything.  And remember that there's always going to be more good then evil.  So if there was someone who was just running around ganking everyone, word would get out and a search party would be formed and that player would be found and killed.
So what's so bad about that?  Oh yes... Carebears are still playing with their rainbows...

Or, you could just play a game that has the dynamics you want and accept the fact that not everyone is like you or believes as you do.

I know it's really hard to believe, I'm rather mystified myself, but there are billions of people out there who might actually not have the same opinions, wants and desires as yourself. Pretty amazing huh?

I mean... why aren't you out there doing ultimate fighting or racing motorcycles. Or Climbing Mountains or Gardening, or Sculpting or Being a Carpenter or Deep sea diving or Writing or Exploring the Stars or Delving into Theoretical Physics or... well... you can just keep going.

You're problem is that you want everyone to be like you and believe as you do. If not then they are obviously lesser.

Sure glad you don't rule the world. Everyoen would be the same. I mean... are you a conformist? If so then I understand better. You believe we should all follow the same beliefs and rules and there shouldn't be any differences. Hopefully you aren't a racist as well. I don't thnk you are at all. But you would be surprised how many people out there believe that there should only be one race.

    Or one religion.

Gamewize said it best. Everyone stop whining and crying and go to a venue that you like.

Apparently it isn't only carebears that whine and cry. I'm a bit dissapointed in you hardcore guys. I thought you would have more mettle.

Well, that's the thing.. there should be hardcore, pk'ing games with high risk. Otherwise people who really want to experience adrenaline pumping gameplay are going to get bored.

Just allow the people who want to jsut relax at some sort of casual gameplay setting their due.

I mean.. some people watch "Friends" and some people watch "Oz".

I'm sure they both enjoy the shows of their choice.

lol is this is the stupidist thread ever. theres game for all players, if the game yer in is not fun for you then it is not the game you should be playing, if you like pvp and segregated servers for good and evil try ryl pote or ryl2, if you like questing try eq2, if you like both try eq2 or wow on the pvp server, if neither of those suit you build yer own game that is to yer fancy and shut up, cause yer a pussy lil whiner, lol, man

    playing eq2 and two worlds

Well, considering EVERY game on the market is made for "carebears" it is safe to say most people haven't played a pvp game, since they don't exist anymore.  Also, a game is kinda supposed to be a competition.  Games are supposed to be amusing and competitive.  They can be cooperative but, there is no such thing as a non-competitive game.  Even if you arn't keeping score you are still competing.

However, since kids are playing games rather than watching tv and the game are only offering them one way to go what kind of person do you think they will grow up to be?  They will expect there opinions and ideas to be given to them rather than deciding themselves.

There really isn't a game for everyone on the market.  I blame the lack of innovation on people that will play these crappy games as long as they are having fun.  Since, they are having fun though they have no reason to want more and that is fine.  Only those of us that do want more will be the ones left out.

Your mind is like a parachute, it's only useful when it's open.
Don't forget, you can use the block function on trolls.

    Ha what were you thinking?

"Oh look PvPers trying to proove to people their not Gankers, so I'll post a video of some Arsegoblin ganking noobs in a Noob Zone".

Who needs to debate when your side can win it for us.

I'lll tel you why FFA PvP is not in games anymore.

You don't teach a kid to swim by throwing it off the 10m high board into the deep end with no flotation devices.

You don't teach people to like PvP by walking up to them and ganking them, when their still trying to learn the game.

You don't run a succesful game by letting idiots piss off your new costumers and making them quit before they have finished their Free Trial.

You don't makes games with FFA PvP because some twat will always act like a child and ruin it.

People do not want to be forced into anything, that is a fact.

People do not want to do stuff, they feel they are not prepared for.

Why do you think modern Armies train so much, so when the time comes the soldiers feel they have the tools to not die and therefor the self confidence to put their lives on the line.

You give people the time to learn how to play and build their confidence, they will PvP.

You smash them in the face 3 minutes after they enter the game, they will walk away.

When you go to a nude bar do you say to yourself "Oh my GOD those women are NAKED. Do they have no SHAME? What do their parents think! They are degrading women, portraying themselves as sex objects, and perpetuating the view that women are mere CHATTEL."

Or do you take a sip of your beer and think "mmm big tits."

    Good Players (The Grizzly Bears)
    - Good players have witnessed the suffering of others at the hands of evil players.  These good players have chosen to protect the weaker ones against the evil.  They focus on hunting down evil players, kiilling them, returning loot back to the weak in some cases.  They uphold law & order.

    Citizen (Aka Carebear, The Sheep)
    - The citizens aka carebears are the peasents.  The ones who don't know how to choose or how to react.  Too afraid to take risk and worthless on the battlefield.  The citizen contributes nothing.  Unfortunately the way MMORPG's are now, there are too many citizens and not enough players sworn to good or evil.

    "What did carebears lose?"
Carebears have lost the choice to choose between "Good" & "Evil".   What mmorpg in today's market allows you to truly be evil & truly be good?  In World of warcraft there is no "evil".  Everyone is of good alignment. If you kill a so called enemy player they can come back into combat 30 seconds later and they lose absolutely nothing.  This is no war, this is not controversey.  Good & Evil are not present, only citizens (aka carebears).  Most mmorpgs now a days you can't even message your enemy.  What hollywood movie  have you seen where the good guy doesn't speak with the bad guy? It's almost unheard of.

    "What did carebears win?"
Carebears won peace of mind.  Safety.  Citizens aka carebears can venture into so called dangerous territory and not have to worry about other players killing them and taking all their loot.  Citizens aka carebears need no longer worry about a "Deadly" adversary.  The carebears are weak, but the problem is they are many.

So carebears, how does it feel to be "Satisfied" but not truly happy with the mmorpg you are playing?

World of warcraft for example = millions of "Satisfied" customers who are not really happy with the game but satisfied.

Humans are meant to experience controversey, anger, the sweet taste of revenge, the spoils of war (looting an enemy player) etc........

So carebears have you truly won?

    I don't think so........

    Luzarius

I'm still trying to work out if this is the most unintelligent drivel ever written on a forum.

Humans are meant to eat, sleep, deffacate and procreate. The rest is all just by-products of modern intelligence.

Putting people into catergories and then sounding off on them is arrogant, and of the very lowest form of argument.

You play your game, other people play their's. Why the 'discussion'? Why try to make an intelligent-sounding (failed by the way) conversational point about it? Just move on and play your game. Just because PvP in most games is entirely shite, don't put the blame on to other gamers.

Insulting over 1/2 the playerbase isn't a good way to even start getting your point over. The fact that you feel every game out there should subscribe your view of what makes a good game is stupid. If a game doesn't fit your view of how it should be 'FIND ONE THAT IS' instead  of insulting people.

Games will always cater to different core markets , and thats good some will provide fare for the mass market 'WoW' whilsts others 'shadowbane', 'Horizons' cater to much smaller niche markets. If you want all out PvP with consequences go and find a game that has it instead of attempting to rationalize why people should play to fit your playstyle and desires.

    Nicely said,

Hey i must say im a care bear no doubt about it i like knowing the fact that if im killing a mob in a game that no one can come up behind me and kill me for no apparent reason other than there in a bad mood.. i like knowing that and i feel more confident in going and exploring the areas around me. i dont like the fact  that a higher lvl will not mow me down 10 ft befor a safe place and then i get to start my run all over agian sorry i dont play games to get head aches i play to well just relax and i find it pisses me off more than anything when some one or a group of immature assholes run by me and kill me. i dont mind PvP but i choose to not play them for the sake of not getting pissed off while im trying to relax.

So for all you hardcore PvP I Have A Great Idea  i say have fun but leave the Care bears alone so we like a challenge in a game other than click and i killed some one befor they had the chance to even attack me. oh not to mention the armor i got to steal off there corpse because im lazy and didnt wanna do the quest so if thats your game great just leave use alone were in games to relax not have immature ppl ruin your relaxing time...

For Carebears there's a whole bunch of games for them to play.
For real fun we have EVE.

So that's the answer then, eh?

We'll have one game made that aaaall PvPers can play by themselves, thus leaving every other game to the non-PvP crowd. Sounds fine. You can have one game, and I'll be free to play everything else. Ta muchly.

    /sarcasm..

    You may
correct me if I'm wrong, but...

The idea of MMORPGs is to fictionally build worlds. What happens IN-GAME is
just a reflex of what kind of people is playing it. There aren't games for any
sides. We DO have players who prefer to PK, since it's impossible for anyone on
MMO games to be imponent without a long list of kills, but they'll find, in any
game, somehow to torture carebears, and that's what makes the games better: OWN
    OR BE OWNED.

Not a single game makes the character eat, THE MAIN NEED OF THE HUMAN KIND. As
a bunch of Zombies we just hunt for levels and money. But what for?! Shiny
    armors/swords? Bigger ships? Never-ending magics?

These are just means to rule other players. The free PVP and the carebears are
the basis of MMORPGs: "Do whatever you want, it's for real. There're
consequences, but you'll be glad to do it, since you won't get a girlfriend
    here."

The slaughter is the only satisfaction of a player. Anyone can tell me I'm
wrong, but I'm sure they can't tell it to themselves.

It is TRUE that the companies help players who don't actually know how to PLAY,
but you must really understand in which level you are. It isn't about XP, it's
about the really you: The one who doesn't move the mouse as fast as other
players; or who doesn't know which skills to level because the faqs are offline
    this day; or who doesn't know where/when you should run before being ambushed;
or tries to sell over-priced stuff instead of trading or killing more creeps
instead of wasting your time with that shop; and then, find yourself a game or
a place inside the game where you can feel safe enough to kill
    "porings" and "fabres"

If you don't want anyone else bothering you, go play Diablo II; if you want to
meet new friends with your char, go to HABBO Hotel. It's easy to find yourself
    a place to play.

EVE-Online has a huge universe where you can do whatever you want, since making
new friends, living peacefully in a mining/trading corporation or being a
    pirate.

Sorry if I've been too complex again.

The idea of MMORPGs is to fictionally build worlds. What happens IN-GAME is just a reflex of what kind of people is playing it. There aren't games for any sides. We DO have players who prefer to PK, since it's impossible for anyone on MMO games to be imponent without a long list of kills, but they'll find, in any game, somehow to torture carebears, and that's what makes the games better: OWN OR BE OWNED.

Not a single game makes the character eat, THE MAIN NEED OF THE HUMAN KIND. As a bunch of Zombies we just hunt for levels and money. But what for?! Shiny armors/swords? Bigger ships? Never-ending magics?
These are just means to rule other players. The free PVP and the carebears are the basis of MMORPGs: "Do whatever you want, it's for real. There're consequences, but you'll be glad to do it, since you won't get a girlfriend here."
The slaughter is the only satisfaction of a player. Anyone can tell me I'm wrong, but I'm sure they can't tell it to themselves.

PKers have little power in the MMORPG marketplaces and few people are concerned about that.

The Realm anyone? If you didn't have any food, you'd lose enough health to actually die.
