A bot farming only shows up if the game is tedious that it requires another machine to grind it out and that people are willing to pay real life money to avoid the tedium of the grind. Do you think these gold farmers would spring up if nobody buys their crap and give them your hard earned dollars?

don't think so, it's because of many other reasons, mainly the war-like atmosphere. Also the lazy ones are usually the ones that pay RL money.

First siege took place on Bartz in summer 2004.
The clan THoR took over Giran Castle. Led by a fat butt dwarf name Shortbus. It was the first castle taken in North America.
The alliance Bluedragons took over Gludio Castle, led by a dark avenger name Crown.
At the exactly same time, my alliance Dominus took over Oren.
SOC took over Dion.
All 4 castles in C1 were taken like that in the first siege. All real players.
