It's not what the GAME is, I can even say Koreans make WoW on their WoW servers alot more fun than here because of their exposure to INTERNET ETIQUETTEs. LO you got me there , playing pong , then moving into the atari 2600 and then nitendo never really gave me any type of gaming foundation to progress from. Missle command though it lacked any visual stunning was still ta great high light in my youth. Moving from that and reading next generation magazine at the start of the console battle of cd systems gave me no insight on the working of the corperate aspect. Of course next gen magazine was just a bunch of pretty images with no real gaming insight at all. From that point favoring sega over any other platform , but feeling bitter after the fall of almost all of thier consoles. Then pc gaming came and picked up pc gamer magaizine and READ it for over 10 years (wow) and that definitly had no refined knowledge on anything that has do with gaming at all.
Game culture is more then a bunch lil kids running around in the latest commercialized mmo and having net meeting. Game culture is your ability to communicate your views of what you THink is good or not. Culture id refined about how you live your life. I live my life with a good portion devoted to gaming , it always has been since I played pong in youth.

you're gonna either hate it or love it. Some of the most popular MMOs in Korea stay in korea. A Korean friend of mine showed me a huge list of MMOs out in Korea right now. I would say only 10% of their MMOs get released here in the USA. I didn't see anything from Jazia deleted. I saw one post from solareus that was deleted. Maybe it was some other thread?
I'd never play L2 because it is the biggest grindfest ever and the botting/hacker problem is horrible. I can deal with PK'ers but a god awful grind with no element of questing or storyline to delude me from the fact that I am grinding is not my cup of tea.
P.S. Correction....I did play it for about 2 months and then realized the massive blatant grind that it was.

Nobody said L2 doesn't have horrible PvE for leveling. But that's just the same as all the other MMOs. Name one single MMO that does not require killing mobs on the same spot like an idiot for leveling.
Botting? those are gold farmers and majority people you see are real players, and majority players do not botting.
Hacker? The only hackers I can think of are 1. account hackers, in which case mostly are the users' own fault for having keylogger on their PC, or had let other people they never should have trusted to access their account.
2. gameplay hackers? The only hacks might existed in L2 are a. zoom hack, allow players zoom much further away from their character to have a larger view b. macro targeting or healing, reviving. Those are arguable cheats that might or might not exist. Nobody have a real proof they exist yet.
