On the other hand.....spending insane amounts of money to play like....1 or 2 hours a day doesnt sound right either.

But hey, either way, its laughable :).

    maybe hes bill-gates ^^

yes the money is insane...but maybe hes just.....rich.. :)

    meh...atleast he tried ^^

Right.  Good luck with that.  If you have any idea about how complicated 25 man encounters can be you will understand why he can't do it.

No matter what scrubs like to believe, showing up isn't the hardest part.  There are people who just aren't competent enough to play well and this is a perfect example.  He probably had to do this because he was so bad no guild would would take him.

Like I said, I was intrigued when the article said he raids alone, but it turns out he doesn't..  Any idiot can level multiple toons, this guy just took it to the extreme.  Total failure.

    nothing is impossible :)

its been done before in other games i think so yes it can be done.

but if he fails then atleast he tried ^^

    *grins*

There have been people with 30+ accounts in UO before to keep all their houses or have their own roleplay towns, but such crazies are rare.

To garner such a reaction the person who did what the OP mentioned has already won against a position like yours or anyone who holds your position.

no there are special software that allowes you to multi box.

    he says he uses octopus...

basically it links all the hotkey to all the clients meaning you only have to click once to use an attack

so he only uses 4 classes that means he needs to only controle 4 toons at the same time and the rest will just follow automaticly.

Ah ok.. didn't have any idea that could be possible. Not easy controlling 4 chars either but looks possible.

Anyway I would feel so lonely and miserable playing by myself. Sometimes groups can be such a pain, but even a moronic grop is better thant that

all i can say is this type of thing is where WoW gets it's numbers from  :P

anyways this guy must be rich to afford all that, gotta think electric bills on top of number of games and sub fees.

sigh with that kind of money i would go on a holiday and see the real azeroth.  there are much better single player games if all he wanted was to play by himself. just open up msn or skype with a friend if you need to feel connected.  i don't understand the reason to go to such extremes in a mmo.  if you are that desperate to raid than perhaps the game is not worth your time.  setting up something like that is not easy and would have taken him quite a while. might aswell join one of those emulated wow servers.

    its just funny to me.

Or maybe I'm not dedicated enough as a gamer. I mean, if i reached a point ingame to where I can't find a raid group and there is nothing else for me to do, I'll just quit playing the game.

"This game sucks I can't do anything without 30 other players".,,,so I'll pay 36X what i was paying when it was intolerable in order to make it tolerable.....does that make sense?

maybe he is planning to get all 36 with full epics ^^

sell each account for like $1000

    thats $36000.

There was a named Sam Deathwalker or Deathdealer in EQ that played 24 accounts at once.

As far as this guy being able to raid.  I don't think he'll have much sucess.   Very few raid bosses are tank and spank.     Even with his characters being linked I don''t think he'll be able to control them well enough to take down raid bosses.   Most of them are meant to tax every raid member controlled by a single person.   Best he'll be able to do is raid a dungeon  that is trivial for his level.

Jeez, how do he do it? And I thought me and my friend did a good job when we finished a 6 man task force with arch-villain in CoH, with 4 accounts/computers on 2 man... and we had serious problems with that lol.

  • RSjunkyRSjunky Member Posts: 22

Talk about having no friends to play with. No friends in real life, no friends in a make believe world. What a lonely and greedy bastard. I bet the guy looks something like this.

  • Crysis420Crysis420 Member Posts: 43

the guy is spending around $400 dollars on WoW accounts a month... that doesn't make him rich. i'd also like to mention his crappy circuit city/best buy laptops. the guy/IT is clearly an anti-social scrub. it's smelly tards like him who make mmorpgs unacceptable to society.

Why 36 when you can only have 25 in the new raids?

  • Larry2298Larry2298 Member Posts: 865

WOW, he must have great fun than anyone else. I supposed to play 3 characters but one of my Laptop don't work good so I only play 2 accounts.

I already quit WOW long time ago because it is not a mmo, it's drugs.

That 2ns screenshot with all the totems is fun ;). I'd hate to have to type in 36 WOTLK codes O_o. And how does he remember all the password and stuff ? Probably setup macros and stuff for all of that...

    Poor lonly guy.

And i really do feel sorry for him, in the end he is someone to be pitied.

This kind of crap is the reason I no longer play eq. These bastards with thier 5 or 6 accounts take thier bot group into the best camps and sit there all day and night, if you need something from where one of these bastards is sitting your just  shit out of luck. Id bet allot of gold farmers have similar setups as this guy although probably not on the same scale.

  • how does someone fail at life when they can afford to burn £360 on wow a month?

I'd be willing to bet anyone who could afford that is more successful in real life than the ****** who makes fun of him from behind a computer.

    People actually still play EQ?

  • OzmodanOzmodan Member EpicPosts: 9,726

Well to start, he can't actually raid with all those accounts.  It is not physically possible to control even 10 accounts at one time let alone 25 or more.  Raids require all players to be doing something at the same time.  Hence it is more a stunt than a reality.  I have seen people run 2 or 3 characters at the same time, it is possible, but beyond that....unless the author has invented some pretty amazing AI, it is not happening.

So you can stop saying amazing and get back to the pretty dumb idea.

Yes and Blizzard encourages this.  I said it before and I said i again with their total lack of  ethics and with some of the shit that they openly encourage on their Official forums Blizzard is heading to a bad end, fanbois can roll their eyes and say yeah sure all they want, Blizzard is on many many Radars right now and not in a good way.
