I guess I won't be playing this game. The class I play and aesthetic looks play a large role in my enjoyment. I was under the impression that you could be a Battlemage if you wanted, which is personally my favorite class. I like to wear plate armor, wield a sword, and cast spells when at range. Obviously I can't do that in DF, since I will have unequip my sword and equip a staff to cast a spell. I was excited for this game, hell, you can research my rating comments if you don't believe me.
Right now, I am playing a Death Knight which is almost exactly how I like my melee/spellcaster hybrids to play like. I have a sword in my right hand, casting spells with my left. Both attacks are strong, and I look good doing it. Seems like WoW has more flexibility when it comes to the type of class I want to play. Yes, perhaps I can use a wide range of skills in DF, but none of that means crap if I can't weild the weapons I want while I'm doing it.
Some of you might think I'm being trivial, but it's as important to me as FFA PvP is to you. I could care less if corpses are lootable or not and people not playing a game because of no FFA seems trivial to me. See my point? We all play games for various reasons, being able to play the type of class I want with the look I want is paramount to my enjoyment of the game. Next comes the setting, then choice of gameplay, and finally customization.

ROFL thats amusing mate. I played UO from beta. And you know im +50 years old so i played games since Commodore times. Even before that to be honest. I started in the gambling halls before any console was out. The guild im in B@D was most likely the best ever PvP guild in the history of UO. A bit cocky you might think, aye, but we fought the best guilds of UO both on Europe side and NA side and won. And UO is the most hardcore PvP MMORPG we seen up til today. Lets hope Darkfall bring that down.

I have all experience needed to make predictions and i will love to discuss this in a month with you. You might be in a state then to take in some new information i hope. As it is now youre a blindfolded troll of the game Darkfall. Think abit broader, what can the game industry of MMORPG games benefit from games like Darkfall on a success? My answer is alot.

Nobody has been proven right either way until open beta and launch happen next month (or don't).
If you would actually read my posts properly before quoting them and making insults you would see I said:
“Sucks to be proven correct but this is just sad and pathetic if this is all they really have to show, 1 month from launch after 8 years of development.”
“I’m a little bit in shock about this because even after all these years and my increasing scepticism I’ve realized how badly I wanted to be wrong at the end, but this looks like it was just a complete waste of time for all concerned.”

I just noticed, are you the same Vehementi from the somethingawful thread about Darkfall?, I saw you said some hurtful things about me earlier and I did cry a little when I read the thread recently looking for beta leaks.
You certainly are dedicated to defending this game, I wish you the best of luck, with only 6 weeks left I would think your going to need it.
I was considering posting in the thread on f13.net but it's too much of an old boys club where anything dissenting gets shot down and trolled on. And the going opinion is that DF isn't worth talking about.

Ah thats right DF has no problems at all, Its 100% complete and bug free. Good thing too since release is less then 6 weeks away and the open beta hasn't even started yet., but nah whats to doubt DF has been extensively tested by AI bots and paid profesionals there is no way the open beta will find any reall major flaws. After all open betas really are just for show not for any real testing right?
