My personal opinion of playing a girl character though, I got no problem with for a little game called "Diablo II" got me in tune with my "feminine side". LOL, HELL NO, not at all but i love sorcery and it turned out there was a "sorceress" in that game so I really don't mind playing a character if i think it's cooler pertaining to class(in DII's case) or if a female character of a race looks cooler. I was never ashamed of being a female lizard because the patterns of skin or the wierd fin ears or horns looked cooler, ect. Of course, having breats is always wierd...

ok just to say I think that its ok either way but you know girls most likly play men some times to, so really this can go bolth ways so when i play these games and unless i know the person irl i will consider the thing a it. that is a safe way lol because its kinda odd to flirt with people over games but if i was i surly would want it to be a girl and not bubba who just got out of jail and cant get over the guy thing because he made people drop the soap in the shower....just my thoughts

If she says she's really a girl, how could you tell she/he/it is lying? Keep in mind that real-life girls talk in games like boys just as much as they talk like girls.

I play girl characters in games, but honestly I havent noticed a difference in how people treat me. I like playing girls and trying to get them to look like my wife that way she's the hottest girl in the game, and I name my character after her, she loves that! And she has a really cool name too so it works out really well.

2. Stop quoting material that may be deleted. If you have a great post with great ideas it will still be deleted no matter what if you had quoted a previous post or poster that will get deleted. If you are uncertain the post you quoted may be deleted, it's better not to quote it at all, just refer to them by name and then follow up with your post.
3. If you feel I deleted your post because of number two, pm me and I'll undelete your post so you can take the quote out...thus causing your points to be unaffected.
4. Maturity comes in the form when people can agree to disagree without resorting to name calling, hate comments, etc.

It is understandable and acknowledged that guys that make everyone think that they are female in game at all times to get stuff may be a bit pathetic and sad, but social (sorry, watching Breakfast Club). But as for those of us that play female characters for the hell of it are not trying to put over anything on anyone and are not cross dresser wannabe's. And as to guys giving stuff to would be female characters well there are to many factors that go into that. Let me take that most guys are ignorant perspective. In EQ, SWG and DAoC, as a sort of a psychological test, I made a female character and named her Ychromosome, a sure as hell sign that I was a male, and guys still wanted to give me stuf for no reason without even talking to me first. I never took anything of course. I told them right off the bat that I was male and what I was doing. They almost always thought it was funny and wanted to give me the stuff anyway. And for those that have used terms like...well, I wont lower myself to use such discriminatory words. I know dozens of gay men that play EQ and plan on playing EQ2 who who have never made a female character. Should they tell you that they are gay? Would they be decieving you if you became friends then weeks later told you that they are gay?
My first char in eq live was a female drow and i thought she was hot. After about 30 lvl's of other guy chars callin me hon and sweetie i couldnt take it anymore. It just felt wrong or something.
It is true though, you get alot more stuff and are treated differently from everyone when your a female char.

welcome to MMO, where the Men are men and 90% of the women are too lol Just kidding... It's role playing, exactly... I personally "rarely" play a female character, but have before. It's fantasy gaming, and quite harmless. From some of the horrible things I've seen my career in Law Enforcement, I can only hope online role playing fullfills some fantasies, and lessens crime IRL. Cheers to all true online role players, no matter if you are male/female/rat/wookie/lizard/etc... hehe

Playing a female just because you prefer staring at a female avatars ass for 6 hours a day is sick and pathetic.
Playing a female cause you think there cool (for whatever odd reason that is) is alright i guess.
Playing a female avatar for roleplaying purposes is ah...yea..ok..i guess.
