the combat is ala monster hunter and has been done alot in console games before. oh and guess what guild wars 2s combat is actually very sililar to teras. you can roll out of danger and you can miss. oh yeah the phantasy star online games did this same combat tera has, and a few other grinders like the vidictus game well whatever its name was in korea and was out long ago now just about to hit the states.

yep hurts doesnt it. both rift and gw2 were in games con and guess who came out top.
theres a reason they got the award and rifts nor biowares swtor didnt get it.

after seeing your history of few posts. its obious you a fan of rifts, dare not to deny it because you even trounce tera in favor of it. here you started a thread and even people who hang around the fence cannot deny how good gw2 is turning out. this is not saying that rifts sucks or terra sucks or swtor sucks
out of em all arena net was the only one who hyped their game and showed the gameplay to back up their words.
i heard alot of swtor , rifts , tera and ff14 as long as gw 2, and just like all the other games that were hyped and died or had marginal success i brushed it off for show not talk type of attitude. gw2 is the only game out of the ones i listed here that talked and showed to back it up. and thats not mentioning all the other tidbits i have been scavanging from other sites. ign.com comfriming how everyone in an area helps eachother and are rewared equally.
right now theres nothing that good to play. we have few options that are good and played em all. many are waiting for the next big thing. this is why gw2 is on the top. because it is the one showing to be the next big thing.

Alright here we go. Let me tell you why NC is actually a pretty cool company, I know they can be screwed up at times, but the fact that they are almost always the ones allowing new ideas and talent into the industry is great. Take for example; City of Heroes, a lot of people love CoH. Its still one of the best Superheroes games to date and until recently it was the ONLY superhero game on the market (new idea back then).
Auto assault; New idea but it didn't do well, justified scrappage.
Tabula Rasa; undeniably great game in my humble opinion. Didn't do well, justified scrappage.
Guild Wars Series; Innovation at its best, without NC being flexible I don't know where this game would be.
In fact NC was even flexible with Tabula Rasa, allowing ideas to filter through without forcing people to be this or that.
I don't know about you but NC is a great company in its own right.

Yes, I have seen it and I think its pretty cool but its covered in the coat of Warhammer-ish text fonts and gameplay that at some points looks boring.
Anyway, I'm off to watch a movie. I'll be back to keep challenging your Rift > GW2 argument.

We don't need any time machine to see who wins this match. Just look at what all GW2 and Anet are bringing to the table. Things we have never seen done in any other MMO EVER!...
I have no doubt in my mind that GW2 will wipe the floor with TERA, wow , swtor , or any of those other games you try to put in its path of destruction.
What do these other games have to offer TERA? Combat, meh.. SWTOR, story? been there done that and /yawn...

rifts devs are promising alot. dynamic content, and a few more goodies, however seeing the videos, especially the hunter one made me think it was wow with a bit better grafics but with stiff characters, heck even wow preforms much more fluidly with animations. that boar...... was walking like it has somthing invading its tailhole. it felt like if i was watching wow again for me.
How can you even think that? Game looks like shit. No joke. I'd rather play f2p eq2.
I don't know if this was said already, but why can't they both be good? Why does one have to be better then the other?
