And my bear is as far from random as your guardian to something. Believe me when I say this to you - guardian skuipping is neglectable and simply not worth missing BV because you try do it. The only classes worth skipping are Barb, conq and BS. Noone else gains enough from it. You can do it but the gain is not worth it with other classes. Hell, even HoX can comboskip but not the stuff that matters. I constantly do it on all my chars but more because I am so used to it doing it with my bear

No, all great guardians combo skip, but obviously you don't know that since you never actually tried a guardian. I suggest you log to testlive, go to faith and make a lvl 80 male and a female guardian. Test FA 8 for example and BV. Notice the reckoning trigger and you'll see that the difference in damage is significant.

For a person explaining others about "myths" of aoc, you sure like to believe in your own myths. Test it and try it for yourself before making statements out of clear sky.

Why would guardian combo skip? Do you even know why combo skipping is useful?

Yes I do, but it seems you don't on the other hand. I suggest you talk to some of top fury guardians if the skip, which combos are skippable and what it means. Or in short - best guardians on the server are all MALE characters.

But please do continue to argue and throw fictions out of thin air to continue this "discussion"

Best PoMs are female and best everyhing else are males. Why?:

    a.) PoM suits female playstyle

b,) AoC is quit low on females

(that was the type of argument johnie normally throws)

From a BS that practically invented combo skipping, it is used for:

-a.) constant moving around enemy without waiting for combo finishers which allows mobility that is extremely important in melee type of PVP AoC offers. Normally works best and is worth doing with BS and Barb + semi Conq because most animations for these 3 are very slow.

now, you said you use it with BV and FA. Not sure how long FA takes but BV takes wooping 0.4sec to perform which is not something worth skipping really. Apart from it being quite hard to skip it ofc. (never played bv guardian but I imagine tht with 0.4 cast time you miss skipping and end up with big fat 0 dmg)

-b.) Bigger dps through time. I can't remember how long CA takes to cast but I think it is somewhere around 1.5 sec ... you can skip lets say 3 sec ... not that much really. but multiply this by 20+ (BS fights take long) ... and it can be done on all combos - for eg. SB4 can be skipped even more effective and Internal bleed as well

    ...

Who was even talking about real life gender and their performance in aoc?

Male guardians as in male guardian characters! jeez. There are enough female guardian characters around, but best pvp'ers are male ones (guess why... cause of skipping even tough you won't acknowledge it). Btw, every single second counts, don't tell me 3 seconds is nothing in pvp, especially in duels.

I think it would be better for this game to bring back the 1.03 Guardian, who could gem out and one shot people with a charge, lol those PvP days were funny oh they were also pre criminal system, and massive guard protection. My god things have gotten so bad that the pre 1.04 days seem like heaven.

Saying that they're not quick with fixing exploits or didn't fix the exploit you were concerned about is a reasonable opinion, saying that they don't care about exploits at all is childish and immature reasoning.

It's not that they don't care, Funcom has a history of fixing exploits waaaay after the initial damage has been done, they have made it clear over the past two years and fixing exploits is not a top priority for them.

Sadly it's not limited to Funcom.  It's pretty much every other company out there that are slow with fixing exploits. Blizzard, SOE and Turbine included.

Cannot agree on that Jero. I remember EQ1 (Verant at the time not SOE) servers being brought down immediately an exploit was found, and remaining down until it was fixed. Compare that to Funcom who allowed gem duping and god knows what else to remain in game until huge damage had already been done.

    hmm something funny happened.

    i dont care anymore.

i was reading the posts and i realized i dont care if someone gives wrong information or exaggerates.  I was having fun with their lack of skills, errors; even thats not fun anymore.

    I'm .... over it... i guess.

    take care and have fun

ps. oh i need to post something on topic; game has exploits, you can make a game of finding them; if you cant/wont, dont worry its a pve game with everything of importance bop, what others do doesnt affect your fun.

    I need more vespene gas.

Hmm, yes. For a PvE guy like you, apparently(??). It doesn't matter what others exploit. For people who actually attempt to PvP in this seriously flawed piece of doggy doo-doo, it matters.

I'm actually pretty sure that most AoC supporters here play on PvE servers and raid. They don't even try the PvP aspect of the game. I honestly don't know why people would even raid in this game, though. The encounters they've managed to release in over 2 years are all less demanding (unless bugged to oblivion) than even WoW vanilla encounters (like C'Thun for example). I guess it's just a game for the graphics geek who likes to click stuff!

Well I just got the 'begging' email from Funcom, telling me that if I buy game time I can get a flying social pet and some awesome potions.

So that answers the question as to what they are spending time working on.

I'd rather see an email that said 'Thank you for buying the Collector's Edition two years ago. We'd like to give you 30 days free game time and all the things we promised at launch. '

Sorry mate, you're never going to see that email you mentioned. You already bought the gamebox, it means you're worth as much as pocket linth. They'll do anything at this point to gain even 1 new sub, though.

Yeah, PvE and raids. Oh, wait, PvP on a RP PvP server too, having fun with it from time to time.

Oh, wait, you're only interested in PvP in AoC? Sorry man, you're screwed. Nothing that can make people like you happy for now, at least not in the short term. What can you do, eh? No PvP that you really enjoy in AoC, PvE you don't like that much at all. lucky for you there are other PvP oriented online games to be found. Good luck.

Back in the day i'm talking post launch there was plenty of PvP around and less PvE as the game advertised of course there were no working Sieges (lawl still the same) druken brawling, ect, but the PvP was good with limited guards, no murder system, no stupid Bori system, those days were very fun!

And that Vep, is a real sad indication of how things have turned out. When we look back at the days with no guard hugging, no murder system and no pvp levels or gear. Where skill mattered most, not gear. A good player could down three pve nabcakes while dressed in green shit from picts on white sands.

Now the game is simply full of poseurs who like to get shiny things and mince around OT like a bunch of arsebandits.

Lol. I don't know what you're blabbering about, I've been in enough working sieges. What have you been doing with your time?

But yeah, if PvP is all you care about, then there are better MMO's for that on the market. There's always Darkfall and Mortal Online for you, mate image

The problem with the sieges is that servers like crom made them work by doing various things themself, and also crom had a reputation of having better working sieges then say Fury. Fury has been one of the worst servers to have sieges on, they have lagged, they have crashed and very few times have people been able to complete a siege. Every siege I have done on Fury have been unplayable in terms of fun, as melee I have never been able to execute a full combo successfully on another player due to the lag, when playing my bear shaman I simply  was running around healing that was all I could do. Ranger was the biggest success where I could do a few combo's before lag got too bad, even then due to range I could be lucky to execute a combo.

Sieges on fury is simply a no go if you want to have some fun PvP. It's laggy, unplayable and it crashes 95% of the times before timer is up.

There is better PvP games out there for sure, DFO is miles better then AoC PvP wise. Both with working sieges, mass PvP etc. The times I had lag in DFO  it always involved a sick amount of players rather then just 48vs48
