I spend all of my non-work time pretty much on games, movies, and listening to music and podcasts. Gadget lover and console gamer - own several major consoles, but mainly play MMOs on the PC nowadays. I am quiet & shy but hell of a nice guy. Consider my childhood days to be the golden age of gaming, with companies like Origin with their Ultimas and Privateers. For me MMOs are all about the people, and not about gear or loot.
Not sure I would trust another NCSoft project again to be honest. Unless it gets massive numbers, with their track record it will be in soft maintenance mode within a year of being released and servers turned off shortly after. Also, not sure what …

At least they're still trying, you gotta give them that.
Absolutely do. They've really listened to the community as well, unlike so many MMOs.
Though many would argue list…

From my understanding, the good part of the game is the levelling, so why rush it...?
That's one of the major problems with MMOs nowadays - early MMOs became big back in the day coz the leveling part of the game w…

What isn't funny is there were still several hundred players in New World who are part of the bottom feeders of humanity who leap at the opportunity to ruin the game for everyone else.

Only Star Trek series I watched was the 1966 series and it was just a few years ago. If you turn your brain off, it can provide a little entertainment, but in retrospect it was kinda dumb, not speaking about being early sci-f…
A lot of folks would disagree with me, but I was not a fan of Voyager. Did not dislike it per say - heck, watched the entire thing back when it first aired, and have rewatched it on Netflix at least once, but it did so many little things that annoye…
The game is far from dead - but it's far from being successful either, or healthy even. It has enough players hanging on atm to keep it going, but being a sub free game it will definitely need more new and spending players to warrant ongoing develop…

I'm curious. When does the classic server stop being classic. So far it seems they're on the same path as regular WoW, just starting over. Is there gonna be a stop point, at which they say 'these are the only expansions that ar…
Battlepasses sucks the fun out of the games. Turns them into daily chores. Worse, chores that you pay for, and have to do in order to finish or else you end up not getting what you wanted from the pass in the first place.
I think it was one of the reasons I gave up on GW2 way back in the day. At that stage I had been playing GW and GW2 since day 1, was a supporter of the series. Around the time the stories or whatever launched I wasn't able log on for a few weeks, an…

It has a box fee with no sub. I can play it any time I want to with no further fees. It's a very inexpensive game compared to most MMO/GaaS games with their DLC packs and non-optional "optional" subscriptions.

Not sure if it was Amazon or AGS's fault with their previous products, but thus far they have a track record of not supporting their products, and just cutting their loses when faced with failures. Future of the games really depends on who replaces…

I would revert the Tamriel Unlimited changes in ESO so that leveling can return to being a challenging and fun experience.
One Tamriel was great IMO.
In most MMOs the zoning experiences have all been uneven, …

Does it say what happens to those of us who bought lifetime subs back at launch?
You still get all the VIP perks and monthly coins for the store... not much has changed. It's mainly to draw in new and returning players.
Played it years ago back when it was sub to play game, even owned a lifetime sub, but stopped when it switched to F2P. Can't remember what I hated about the F2P conversion exactly, but it was enough to make me quit and never went back. Was in the.…
On one hand I don't want any company to have a monopoly, but on the other hand, I really don't want another half assed launcher on the market, especially ones that don't bring anything new to the table.
I can see WHY so many companies want to h…
