I'm ready to play for 3 months, but I am also a realist. If after getting to level 50, if all there is that engages the community is sitting in a Capital City waiting for your queue to pop, this game will make like a lawn-dart.
Cata is just the icing on the cake for many displeased with WoW; a 6-year old game. WoW will be fine, but heck, UO and EQ are still fine, so that'snot really saying much.
There continues to be a flood of players on the WoW forums saying thier…

I recall reading somewhere that 4-million are anticipating at Rift, another 4-million are anticipating SWTOR and another 4-million are anticipating GW2. Do the math.
Why is playboy online listed as an mmo. Blows your mind, huh? Go through the entire list on mmorpg.com and laugh as you notice that half of them aren't really mmorpgs, but do something similar as to justify someone at the community management leve…
OP, it is human nature to be selfish. The minority are selfless. Even with mmo's, the most are geared toward soloists and selfishness, not community. Rift will be the same. You will find comfort with a more active guild, regardless of the game yo…

Funny that many posting in this thread are spending so much time in their forum fishing boat trying to disuade so many that Rift isnt a smartly polished evolutionary mmo, while most of their mmo's are floundering. Intersting for sure.
A handful of servers left for US, France, Germany and the UK. Another sign of this games utter pve and pvp failure, though it doesn't stop false fans trolling in other forums of upcoming mmo's that WAR is 'more' viable than they. *laughs*
But all it has to do is do better than any other game, based on western sales, in the last 5-years. Is it really that hard to accomplish knowing what is known about Rift?
I think Rift will fare better than most mmo's in the last 5 years. Trion doesnt have the asian market going for it, so it will be purely European and NA, I think.
With this games planned open-world dynamic player-centric and organic game-play…
Every game has similarities, given birth from pen 'n paper, to MUD's to UO to EQ, Asherons Call, Lineage, WoW, etc.
We shouldn't deny the evolution of game-play content or shared concepts that were built-upon, but look forward to the evolutio…
Dont get me wrong. I know that some people like WAR. Hardly that many, but some do. Rift is different and there are also some that will like it, and my money is on that a helluva lot more people will like Rift than WAR
Like a good accident, I cant help but not look away. Who's crying over balancing steps that are taking place in beta because they researched and chose the flavor of the week?
