I am still rooting for this one, I love the atmosphere and general vibe, it did however leave a lot to be desired in its building systems so hoping it comes good with that!
Had a lot of fun exploring just after launch with the other half, solvi…
Survival games can be a big hit, if you find a style that is not already being served and focus on serving that well.
Valheim, Enshrouded for the PvE explorer types
Palword
Bellwright
If PvP is your jam, then Conan Exiles, Rust, A…
I love how they make it sound like some kind of mysterious science.
Well we want to make more money? how do we do that? Sell more games!!
But how, we have tried everything, Playstation players just dont want to buy any more...
If only…
When its shut down and there are no community servers.
Other than that its alive, it might not be as popular as others, but aslong as there are enough people that you can see the parts you want to, and it is still running its still alive.
I am really enjoying the game, however I am worried their fixation on seasonal characters will spoil that. I am the sort that gets into survival type games for the long term progression, and plays through them slowly, base building and build tweaki…
Money alone is not the reason Blizzard havent done this, that much is for sure.
When deciding where to focus developers a studio will look at the following
Impact on the game - What will it bring will it get people excited, get people talk…
I wanted to add as well "It's simple: Final Fantasy XIV is the most newcomer-friendly MMORPG—and I say this as someone who has tried to jump into her fair share of games that have been around even longer. The ease with which people can jump into FF1…
Ooof tough to sell some one who doesnt know the Genre on FF, even with the Early game improvements its a slog to get going.
Honestly, I think FFXIV is the perfect Second MMO to try, after you have got used to the quirks and foibles of the genre…
In a game that is literally all about grinding money to buy new ships.... you can now spend your real money to bypass actually playing the game.
If it keeps the servers on as opposed to them going off then it is what it is.
It just says a …
Every time I hear these people talk about their game, it is always money money money.
Making a game seems secondary to them, and that is a big part of why this project lost its way when it lost its figurehead. I am sure there are some very tal…
They seem way too busy chasing what ever FOTM fad they see, and working out how to get more money out of their small fanbase than they are on making a game with appeal, compelling reasons to play and an identity of its own.
Islands of Insight is really nice and relaxing, the multiplayer parts are a bit "light" you dont actually team up with other people to solve the puzzles and even though other people are in the world they can only interact with you via emojis and pin…
So, one of the "leads" over played a game with a seasonal model, this seems to be how they do stuff lately, find a fad and throw it at the wall and see if it sticks.
Its so sad what became of this.

They have flip flopped so much, and what about the Loot extraction PVP game they decided they wanted to bandwagon on.
The people who picked this up after Brad quit have no vision of their own, just bandwagons they try to jump on.

Theres a few shill sites trying to convince me D4 is "Good now" because it has faster leveling and more loot.
The biggest problem with D4 is the loot system which never gives you a "euphoria" moment of getting an awesome drop, its like Blizz lo…

Not really surprising. Seasonss seem to be the way of the world these days. I like this trend and think it'll benefit MMOs in general. It's something that people will look forward to and may help retention for those who like …
Probably the least interesting loot system in all arpgs.
No excitement seeing a drop, and almost a need to keep a spreadsheet of what you have to be able to tell if its an upgrade or not.
Nice game, ruined by tedious loot systems and a con…
