  • The game just isn't that great is all. That's why.   I won't say it's as unremittingly bad as some here do, but it's certainly a "mediocre" MMO, and for us Star Trek fans (30+ years now myself as well), that's hugely disappointing.
  • There remains essentially no non-combat missions in STO still. There's the Fed Diplomatic Corp, but you'll be Vice Admiral a long time before you've ground enough rep with them to get anything from them by way of non-combat missions.
  • It's steadily, but slowly, improving.   Launch: Awful. Terrible. Half-finished.   Now: Mediocore, repetitive, two-thirds finished.
