• Your requirements seem fine, save for your vid card (Which will most likely cause some lag)  If you are not a hardcore power-gamer, a 3 month time frame should be find for you.

• I don't think that it would have a limited scope at all.  The setting would be the west, but you don't have to have it in a real place.   The only drawback I can see is the death-system
