The thing about UO is that you don't really notice the graphics as much since its 2D. Where as Asherons Call in 3D is much more in your face. Although I haven't played AC a whole lot UO remains one of my favorite MMOs of all time.

Getting banned for killing people? Sounds lame. UO had a much better system. Nearly the same rules for grey/red but if you had a red skull you just couldn't enter a town otherwise the guard would kill you.

AC looks interesting. I have heard good things in the past. I'll download the trial tomorrow. Graphics have never been a problem for me. I've been looking at Vanguard but I'm iffy about it. I'll give it some time before I go and try it.

Diablo 2 isn't exactly a MMO, but its close. It doesn't have a subscription fee and has good PvE with some decent PvP. Although there is only one race.

I agree with Boderline though. If you really want to play a fun MMO your going to have to pay.

You'll need to be more specific than that. Theres a lot of decent F2P MMOs but they play very differently. Maple Story seems to be a popular choice.
