Eve has not had an expansion. The gradual addition of a lot of content is not an exapansion. An expansion is the addition of a lot of content all at the same time. Eve has had no expansion pack.

it is not about noob frigates crushing veteran BS, you should know better than that if you are want to have an argument. it's about veteran players being caught unguarded on a industrial ship by a new player on a cruiser. or a veteran player on a interceptor and the new player on a destroyer, or many other combinations that end up on the same thing: a veteran player loosing his ship against a new player.

Just look at the alliance tournament for proof. 7 million SP characters were more than able to hold there own against 60 million SP characters and get through to some of the final matches. Honestly I don't know why people still try and bring up that argument. More SP means more flexibility, that's it. When all is said and done on any of the non-capital ships the max amount of SP you're going to use while flying them is about 8 million, once you get to that point with your character YOU ARE EQUAL TO THE VETS IN THAT SHIP CLASS. It comes down to tactics, good fitting and teamwork.
FFS it's not that difficult of a concept, why do people have so much trouble grasping it.
If said vet has to 'respawn' in a deathstar (whatever the hell you mean by that) then it means they already lost, so that point is moot

I've never been solo-killed in a BS by a noob because I'm smart enough to fit anti-frig measures on my BS's, but I have been jumped by a group of newer player pirates and killed, and it was my fault for getting caught.

Actually So far EVE has had 1 full-fledged expansion and once all three REVELATIONS patches are out it will be 2. EXODUS was the first, adding in the revamped UI, Deadspace, POS and the destroyer and battlecruiser ship CLASSES. See, in CCP's view, an expansion should add new gameplay elements to the game and not just add more old gameplay in. Castor could be argued to be another expansion but really it was just finishing the original game off after release. Either way it doesn't matter because CCP have stated that they will never charge for expansions. How is new gameplay features for free considered worth less than more of the same gameplay that you get charged for anyways?
I probably gonna buy EVE soon, and i must say, it is indeed hard to decide to play or not, with all those comments. Some people say it really sucks, and then others come and say its really cool....altough i mostly believe the ones that play it (they have the best arguments) its still hard to choose. That is the reason why EVE is not that large, cause of all the bad comments!

Well, only the experience of playing EVE will decide your preference. The 14 day trail should give you a good taste. Also, if you do play the trail, be sure to do the tutorial and all the missions from your tutorial agent (you get a nice 1 mill bauble at the end).
Also, I would reccomend you join Eve University. A respected player corp that opens it's arms to new players and instructs them in the finer points of EVE. Since community is such a big part on whether you enjoy the game or not, that should give you a good experience.
I do have to admit the game did get repetitive and i got bored too after like 1 month. It was ok while it lasted but if you think about it the game doesn't exactly have depth.
Now Star Trek Online will be the biggest hit if Perpetual pull it off, i'm not even a fan of Star Trek but i can tell due to the complexity and the fact you can walk around and go on planets...its gonna be the EVE killer.
This is my opinion an i don't wish to be criticized by some EVE die hard fag.

Then be polite. You don't have to call people who enjoy EVE and would like other people to share their enjoyment Fag's. This is also an open forum so if they wish to critize you they are more than welcome to. If ypu don't like that don't post. I do find it odd that a game that you can claim that a game that has not been released yet is better than another game.

Well, being as ST-O is a very long way off.. and will prolly play more like WoW then eve plus from whats been seen so far isn't that complex.. Yes it may well be popular but those who enjoy games like WoW.
But who cares, after all its going to be a spoon fed content PvE game.. nothing like Eve.
Now I guess you got bored of eve because the game was too much for you to handle, as you needed the game to hold your hand and point you in the direction of fun and give you a little pat on the back when you do good. Eve on the other hand doesn't it gives the player the tools to create their own fun in the giant sandbox it provides.. Some do, others just well come here and whine its boring and have no depth, and its obvious that your still a child due to your little jibe at the end of your post and again for the majority (but not all.) youngsters that play eve tend to find it a bit boring as it doesn't have the instant gratification that games like WoW has.
Its ok, no-one is going to be mad at you for your opinion.. though they might be at your jibe, nor will they criticize you and your childish jibe.. Instead those who respond to you will give you their opinions.

Your opinion is fine. Your namecalling is childish though. I'm fine with you finding the game boring. It's not a game for everyone. Some like it, some don't. No need to be an ass about it though.

As for 3 expansions, new content isn't an expansion. It is new content. Jump to Lightspeed was an Expansion. A lot of new content, so much that people were willing to pay extra to buy it on a disc from a shop.
