I think if I had to choose between a company releasing no information on the state of a game, and a company releasing false information on the state of the game, I would go with the former. This is why I still look forward to darkfall whenever it comes, and not so much games like AoC.
In the end these are just games, not important to life, just a little passtime to enjoy in my free hours. Whether one is or isn't released or does or doesn't meet the features that its promised, not going to lose sleep over it. Just drop it and move onto the next one.

They all all direct quotes from the deveolpers themselves , except for 2. Those 2 are links to posters who are posting developers quotes in their messsage . So it is the exact same thing

Honestly though i don't see the point of the OP. The game is clearly in development -- there are updates, screenshots and videos released on a regular basis and the development team is clearly not going hungry so they obviously have the resources to make the game exactly as they want it.

Im not doubtful at all. On the contrary im 99% sure it will be released and that beta isnt far away at all. The thing that concerns me is whether they deliver all features and a good gameplay.

Actually, you can't yet play either of those games. And guess what else - I know more than 1 person in each of the betas of *both* those games and all I'm hearing for both is a lot of disappointment. Aion *might* be a good game, but it's not yet at English beta stage and being an Asian MMO, might turn out to be a massive PVE grindfest.
Darkfall is easily the most promising upcoming MMOG on paper, the sheer depth & breadth of the game and the size of the development team always meant that it would take a long time to develop. However it's clear that a) the project is well-funded; b) they are making steady progress (see regular developer game & graphics updates); and c) the developers have no intention of releasing the game before it's "done", which is a sure sign of a highly promising game.
Reading between the lines of all the info we're receiving from the DF devs I predict that there will be a beta before the middle of the year.
I think what might ultimately happen is that Aventurine will take so long to actually develop and release the game that all of the buzz they created is lost.

I totally agree. There is no game called Darkfall. Not now, not ever. Call it hoax, call it vaporware, call it a company pretending to develop an MMO in Greece, but doing other stuff behind the scenes. Just dont call it an upcoming MMO release. You are insulting the intelligence of the people in these forums.

I think by know the smart people know it's not a question of whether the game will release or not, but in what state the game will release.
