DAoC has done that, and is a game with both rich PVE and PVP well meshed together. The community is very nice. AND it took place many years back when my PC has only 256M on board.
All the issues now plaguing DF never happen to DAoC not from day 1.

Graphics are only part of it. EVE has top notch art style and the last expansion made it even better. The attention to detail in EVE is amazing. Little things like asteroids, stations and various deep space constructs or even lighting that makes you go "wow, that looks pretty freaking cool". Not to mention the ships themselves.
The art style in Darkfall is meh at best. I can agree that world graphics are relatively decent but everything else look like they were designed by someone learning Lightwave or some crap.
Notice that I'm not even getting into the meat of EVE which is the deepest game play I have ever experienced in an MMO to date, it ever surpasses UO in it's freedom and sandboxness. Compared to EVE, Darkfall is a crappy looking medieval FPS.

Most likely a case of someone who thinks hes hardcore, finding out hes not. Because Planetside is, and was an amazing game, that you probably just sucked at, because it requires skill to play. Planetside was the first MMOFPS, and was well before its time, and it STILL has larger battles, and more depth of combat than Darkfall could even dream about.

If you look at the mmo`s OP have tried earlier, you`ll notice they`re only the so called WOW-clones. He tasted a full-loot PvP mmo and liked it. We can`t really blame OP for rambling, because who wouldn`t be excited if they tried full-loot pvp for the first time. This is why we defend Darkfall. It`s a brutal experience that gives us a feeling of danger and awareness no other mmo can provide.

Absolutely agree with the OP. Darkfall is the best MMO ever made and will set the standard for future MMO releases.

all i can say is i hope they get their shit together and make a few more servers so a bunch more people can experience what i think is the equally best MMO around (FYI the only MMO i consider worth playing atm is EVE). yes i hate themepark MMOs - i have a working brain and i like to use it in games & i don't need a second job that i have to pay for.
