I also got my hands on a darkfall account that will last the next 15 days or so. Some guy just asked me to send a message to somebody on another site and he gave me the account, nice huh? I will likely play it for a few days before I toss it but from the little I have played so far I have enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It isn't the game of the next 4-5 years for me but it is a decent game when it comes to combat. More or less it is refreshing.

anyway i have not played mush df since i made this thread, maybe about two so hours so i cant say mush.
the game wont open up for me anymore so i need to re install the game...patching is gonna take forever my connection to the df server is slow :O

Instead of typing a few "who cares?" and then let the thread go, people discuss why he will like it or not... for 11 pages of text.
After this the threadstarter comes back to say "ah sorry, I didn´t played much yet."
Reminds me of a girl, who has to choose between two guys. After an extended period of time she comes back with a third guy and telling them "sorry, I will choose soon, I promise."

Having played the game since release and getting ready to be billed for another month. There is something here I'd like to clear up before someone gets the wrong impression about the game.

If you carefully examine the screen shot below you will clearly see they are "Lightning Bolt Towers" and not "Laser Beam Towers".

As far as what they're exactly doing in the screen shot ....... uhhhh ....... well ........ I believe they were conducting scientific voltage experiments to determine the harness-ability of said Lightning bolts. Not exploiting........ *eh hem.

Daarco manual targetting makes up for a simplistic combat system?
You say Rpg combat is simple yet MMOrpgs have all types of spells you need to use on the fly, CC, DD, dots, counters, reflects, Debuffs I could go on and on. It's not just pressing number key 1-5.
Sure Its auto lock but you DF guys seem to forget that regular MMOrpgs have like 30-50 spells for each class and no we dont just use 3-4 abilities.
When I look at DF all i see is a bunch of clicking and strafing.
I've played FPS for a very long time and keeping a target in your sites while you strafe isn't a big deal.
How many different abiilities do you get as a melee character in DF? How many bleeds, snares, stuns, interupts, charges, buffs, debuffs, power strikes,fears do you get to use in a specific fight?
When you think about it you realize DFs combat is as deep as a puddle, even with no set classes most people only have two strikes can shoot a bow and cast magic missile. that's four abilities, five if you count the sprint ability.
Auto lock with hundreds of spells > manual aim with a hanful of spells.
Only thing cool about DF is the FFA loot, the combat is lame.
Precisely, my Thid SB in DAOC was more complex to fight then what ive seen in DFO with peeps that have skilled UP. Strafing, timing attacks to strike the enemy while in range and then evading via movement wasnt invented in DF...Frankly my Thid SB probably could beat all these DF "heros"...Oh I watched the vid of Haeso and Chellia?(sp) and my god it was BOORING! Oh and Haeso should shut the FUC up, he talks too much shit for a character that apparently was a macro baby, and he needs to stop accusing other people of exploiting when the first thing he does is exploit during the duel...PLEASE AV! Fix the game so these people dont migrate to MO and contaminate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I stand corrected.
After studying the evidence presented closely I can now clearly see they are indeed Tesla coil electrical discharge safe zone towers and not laser beam safe zone towers as I previously errornously suspected.
Thank you for clearing that up so nobody will get the wrong impression about this game.
if only you were this forthright about the other half-dozen or so wild DF predictions you've been wrong about over the past couple of years. kudos for not rerolling your mmorpg.com account like plenty of other trolls did once DF released.
but why are you still here anyway? have you even tried playing DF yet? would love to hear of your experiences if so, seeing as you invested SO much time into slandering the game and trying to dig up dirt on it.
I think there are many people around here who just are here to play the forum troll, sad but true.
