Many games have women players games arent just made for males you know
Well of course. and I'm sure everyone knows that full well.
All I am saying is that the empircal evidence for me is that all the women I've shown my games to have responded more positively to Aion. Not for game play but just visually and artistically.

Crazy as it is, I created my first female toon in Aion not because I wanted to see what it was like to wear heels LOL, but more because it is a fact that in most games the female character model is usually more complex so I wanted to see the level of detail that the character customization had.
At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it . Lol no ..but seriously...

lol, so your sister and mom liked AION?
My mom thought aion looked good, played it only 2 or 3 times though... She plays EQ2 just to craft and craft only lol. What people got to understand is you guys are no longer alone out there, more of us are coming out to play online games and I don't mean games like Hello Kitty... Though me and some other girls are sure going after what our character looks like, doesn't mean will just play the game for the looks only... Why play the game then? Just might as well buy sims online and look pritty on there in the house you build

Well, i"m a 42 year old reasonably adjusted adult so there is never an issue as to whether or not there is a problem with women playing. I just don't thnk that way.
Women always make a nice addition to any gathering as they are interesting and inciteful people. One coudl say "well, they are just people" and I would agree but I'm also old enough to know that there are differences and differences to revel in. I've alway preferred working for women supervisors in many cases as I think they have, in my experience, a more rounded way of looking at things.
I will admit that if I want certain types of advice I go to women. If I want other types of advice I'll go to the men in my life.
But it would never cross my mind to hear a woman in vent and think negatively at all. Or even to note it as being anything other than "ah, she's a woman".

lol though I did roll a BE in WOW, I did roll a Iskar in EQ and EQ2,
Seriously... I mean, girls play games, we know this, and a few even play mmorpgs, we know this also, but by looking at the Aion FB page it looks like this game has managed to appeal to the female player base in a massive way. And we all know that where girls go, boys follow...
But it would still be Aion. Girls also go shopping for shoes, I prefer not to.
I remember introducing my wife to PvP in WoW, and thought to myself, "man she is gonna get killed alot and she won't like it and I'm just gonna sit around her and protect her no matter what"
This girl, Melted faces, bad. She topped the damage and Hk's of AB 60 bracket like it was nothing. and was always top three since then. So I have no misconcieved ideas that girls being attracted to this game would be a bad thing. Or that a girl player=free Abyss points.
Anyone who really thinks that....thats probably the least of their problems.
No surprise at all. MOST stereotypes have a basis in fact. They wouldn't become stereotypes if they didn't.
Well, truth be told, that was a joke on my part in response to that particular statement, as I don't have a sister and my mother never saw it. However, I was serious in that the women I've shown the game to preferred it over every other game that I've shown them. They were especially taken with the character creator.
If anything the men I showed the game to thought it was too pretty. LOL, my roomate looked at what my sorcerer was wearing and commented "you didn't design that did you"? with the obvious note of distaste on his voice.

I am glad that the ladies are onboard playing Aion. I have found that when there are woman in a guild it keeps the guys in check as far as going at each other lol. It brings balance to the game just as it does in life. Men are better behaved when your around ladies. I have also found Guilds seem to have less Drama with them there and more Chat going also.
Thanks God for the Ladies as it make gaming all that much better

I agree. One of the best healers ive ever played with is a lady. She played a holy dark elf priest in wow. She is a player, she leveled her toon in holy spec when others leveled in shadow. I asked her about it and she said holy was more of a challenge. Make no mistake, not all girls use mmo's just to play dress up.
